Room, mattress, sheet, toilet and shower are all clean and tidy. Location is best, right next to Shinsaibashisuji Daimaru. Restaurants and shops of all kinds are within 2 mins walk. Only thing is there is only one escalator as entrance to the hotel at 4/F. When I arrive, somehow it’s ‘servicing in progress’ but later on found it’s actually working. Lastly, it’s a bargain at this price.

Possibly the best location as just 5mins away from underground. Rooms super small, with bags had to carefully exchange with my wife if moving around room. Other visitors loud at night and it is annoying, some even left main entrance unlocked. Lucky its 4th floor.

Some very accurate reviews of this place have already been made. The room is very stuffy, you hear noises of all guests doing what they need to do, no staff. The good bits are location and they’ve decorated the entry nicely… just not a restful place to sleep and would avoid as a transit from airport to other locations in Japan

I'm so angry in real time that I'm leaving a review here. The Booking.com description said there was individual heating in the rooms, but there was no such thing. It was ridiculously cold. There was no heating and cold air kept coming out of the air conditioner. There was no remote control, no staff, and no phone calls. I went to the police station to try to resolve the issue, but there was no solution. The cold wind has been blowing continuously for 3 hours since 10 PM. It's a crazy accommodation with air conditioning in the middle of winter, but there's no staff and it's impossible to contact them if a problem arises. There are no refunds and Booking.com's customer service is not working. I'm having the worst day of my life in real time.May this inn be full of curses this year and until the day it falls. This is my New Year’s wish.

The room seemed small, but I decided to stay because it was close to the downtown area and I only needed to sleep. The facility was clean overall. There is nothing about soundproofing. There is only one door to the next room, and the space above is connected. You can even hear the sounds of breathing and rolling over. Each room has a sliding door from the hallway, so you can hear the sounds of everyone going to the bathroom. Be very careful when returning in the middle of the night. When you check in, you will receive the entrance lock number via email over and over again until the day of your stay. There is no permanent staff, so you will need a password to enter. I forgot something on the day I checked out, and when I went back an hour later to get it, it was no longer open, so it seems like it changes every day. By the way, no matter how many times I tried to call the contact number posted on the door, I was disconnected, and in the end I was unable to retrieve my lost items.Overall, I would say it's somewhere between a capsule hotel and a business hotel. The location is good, but the soundproofing and the usability of the common areas are worse than expected (just be careful), so I think a half-price capsule hotel would be better.

In comparison with other hostels you get a lot more privacy here. Everyone has a room just big enough for a bed, a small table and your luggage. The walls are thin so you can sometimes hear your neighbors moving around but in my experience everyone was silent and this was no issue. The airco made a little bit of noise but it was not too bad. The hostel was clean. Location prime.

90/100.Everything is good!! Especially you can feel Japan's atmosphere. If I have to say something bad, it's an air-conditioner(it's turned on, but I felt not enough cool) and check-out time.Towel is offered 1 per person.(lend) 👍

This hostel is a super sweet and authentic Japanese design and in a phenomenal location. You couldn't beat it. Just be aware that the walls are literally paper, so if you have noisy neighbors, you may struggle to get some sleep.
