I used it for climbing Kita Yatsugatake.Only one owner? It seems like they are cutting it all up. The rooms and toilets feel old from the Showa era, but they maintain cleanliness. There is a solid heating system (FF type oil stove), so in midsummer it is a natural cooler, but in winter there seems to be no problem. There is a communal bath in the basement, but I used the nearby Suzuran no Yu.Since we were staying without meals, we bought food from a convenience store a little far away.It is OK to lay out your own futon, but we would appreciate it if you could add information on how to lay out your futon in the morning to the guidebook. The parking lot is on the opposite side of the road in front of the inn.The owner's response was clear and kind.I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

Located on the shore of Lake Shirakaba, Lake Shirakaba is right in front of your room. I used it when climbing Mt. Yatsugatake.Access to each trailhead was good, and above all, the owner's kindness made us feel comfortable. It was fun to see some retro souvenirs.Thank you for your kind and courteous response. I would like to take care of you when you go to Yatsugatake again!

The guesthouse is located in a row of souvenir shops at Lake Shirakaba, and has a reasonable, vintage feel. Surprisingly, the breakfast was a good start for business, and I felt the host's thoughtfulness. For bathing, use a nearby day trip hot spring. Due to the high altitude, mornings and evenings are cool in summer.
