Wonderful place for holiday get away. The villa is very close to the famous Tonbo-no-yu onsen, shops and boutiques in the local area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of extra pillows and blankets. The villa offers transportation services to and from the train station (the request must be placed in advance). I need to mention that in my room there was no private shower. Instead, there is a shared hot tab with three showers on the second floor. Shower rooms with hot tabs are separate for men and women. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and I would recommend IKOI Villa for any travelers who want to get some rest on their way of exploring big cities.

It's a two storey villa with no lift/elevators (guests with heavy luggage to take note), very rustic Japanese style building. Shared bathroom, gender separated amongst all guests. That, to be honest wasn't what I expected so it got a little uncomfortable for me and thank goodness it's only for a night. Easy check out process, with lots of spaces for collaboration. Free parking.

A very good hotel. It was my first time to bring my family to Karuizawa. We stayed in a Japanese-style suite to experience Japanese culture. The hotel also provides a 24-hour Japanese-style bathhouse. My family and I had a great time soaking in it and it completely cleared up the day. fatigue. They also provide free Japanese yukata experience. The tea room in the lobby on the first floor has vending machines, coffee machines, microwave ovens and tea bags. You can rest in the lobby for a while, or you can choose to rent a bicycle from them and travel around Karuizawa. It will be easy to sleep at night. Quiet and we all slept well. They also provided free pick-up and drop-off for us to Nakakaruizawa Station. The people at the hotel were very kind and had great service. I really appreciate them. We stayed here for two days and we were really lucky to find them after the whole experience. The only drawback is that I don’t have the chance to see snow here. If I still have the chance, I will definitely come again~

The room is great ~ suitable for families or many people to stay together. You can also rent cars and bicycles here. The public baths are open 24 hours a day and Japanese yukata are also provided👘

This place is far away from the train station. It is quite dark to walk from the train station to the hotel. The bed and pillow are really not hotel standards. Is not comfortable at all. There is no in room bath. You have to take bath at the public bath area.Only thing is good is that the check in staff is helpful. They also have shuttle coach from and to the hotel.

I have felt very good service since I checked in. Because there are many families traveling together and carrying large luggage, the boss also provides pick-up and drop-off services at the station. The lobby environment is high and the outdoor courtyard has open-air seating, which is very suitable for relaxing. The boss will provide a dedicated phone number for contacting them, and communication can be done in English, Chinese, and Japanese. The heating in the room is sufficient, the space is clear, and the suitcase cannot be opened. The only drawback is that there are few sockets. The public baths are fully equipped and are perfect for a hot bath after a long day of travel.Delicious breakfast is provided. If you stay in a villa, you will need to walk 500 meters to IKOI sanso for dinner.Highly recommended!
