北野天満温泉学問の湯

We stayed on a Saturday in late August.I stayed in a room on the first floor for one night with breakfast included. (They called me to confirm whether I would prefer the 1st or 2nd floor. I told them either was fine. Another review said that footsteps from the floor above could be heard, but I wonder if there were only adults there. ?It was very quiet)The cost was 20,500 yen (including bathing tax) for two people.◯RoomIt was a Japanese-Western room, but it was spacious! ! Is it too spacious for two people to stay? That's what I thought.There was no bath, but there was a refrigerator (freezer) in the kitchenette, so I was able to cook my own meals. There is a small raised tatami area behind the bed. I immediately started rolling around on the tatami (lol)As soon as I entered the room, it was cool and the air conditioner was working well, which made me feel very well taken care of.◯Hot springIt was renovated in March and was very beautiful. Guests can bathe until 11pm and 7am. I went there around 10:30 and had a very luxurious time in a private room. Of course I also took a morning bath! The hot water is greenish and very warm. This is another person's post, but it would be great if you could extend your morning bath time by just an hour!◯BreakfastYou can choose from two types of time. Choose from 8am.I was surprised when the rice was brought to me in an ohitsu! And I was surprised by the amount of side dishes! Plenty of seasonal vegetables were used, making it a country feast...it was delicious. Above all, the rice is delicious! My husband had about 3 refills.There are so many great places here for just under 10,000 yen per person! ? Isn't it amazing...I've never had the chance to stay there before, even though I often visit for skiing, but it was a very comfortable inn that made me want to stay overnight with dinner included!At night, the surrounding area is pitch black and the stars are beautiful! (I couldn't see it because of the clouds...crying) When it was bright, I could hear the sights and sounds of nature, and I thought it was a wonderful place where I could forget about the world below and relax to my heart's content.It's difficult to access, so it may not be easily seen, but I highly recommend you visit!

The facility is located quite deep in the mountains.I always go there in the winter, but there was only one time I couldn't get there after a snowfall.It is a slightly hot chloride hot spring typical of the hot springs in this area. It was empty, so I settled in and relaxed.There are some scenic spots from the national highway to this point.

I used the hot springs for a day trip. There weren't many people, so I was able to enter slowly.The facility was new, so it was clean overall. The receptionist was also very nice!

It seems that it was renewed in March 2020. It's hard to find because it's located along the mountain from the main road, but I think it would be a good idea to include it in your itinerary along with Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, which is located upstream.The hot spring facilities are very good and you can take your time.
