This is a quiet inn near Myojin Bridge. There's nothing in the room, but it's okay because it's a Motoyama hut. However, due to the structure, closing the door blocks ventilation, so on hot days when we stayed, I left the door open until my family went to bed. There were many rooms like that. The lobby is cool, quiet and relaxing. There were also books about Kamikochi, and it had a nice atmosphere. Please bring shampoo and nightwear, and only one face towel. This is an inn where you can enjoy the inconvenience. The food was light Japanese food and delicious. My sons, who were hungry after trekking, ate lots of vegetables and other ingredients they wouldn't normally eat.The toilet on the first floor is recommended because it has less odor.

If you want to experience the true tranquility of Kamikochi Myojin Pond and don’t want to queue up with tourists to take photos, this is a high-quality accommodation well worth a night’s stay. And the power supply is stopped after 21:00 at night, so everyone can have a good rest ~The portion and taste of dinner were just right, and the handmade rice ball bento the next morning was also very interesting and delicious~

First of all, this accommodation is a former "mountain hut".Therefore, most of the useful home appliances that we use on a daily basis, but which are taken for granted, do not exist. There is WIFI equipment, but it is only near the lobby and does not reach each guest room. Therefore, I don't think it's suitable for people who want to spend their time in "comfort".If you are looking for a moment of relaxation in nature, away from the noisy city life, this may be a good fit for you.★4+α in the sense that you can understand that point.

I have visited Kamikochi more than a dozen times and have stayed at five different inns, including regular ones, but this was my first time staying at Hidaya. And I was hooked. What's amazing about it is the homemade food. The proprietress, who is a qualified chef, is extremely particular about her cooking. First, rice. The rice was really delicious because they carefully selected the rice that was cooked best using Kamikochi water. Click here to know about the side dishes. It depends on the course, but the course we chose included not only a whole fish grilled with salt, but also a whole fish tempura, which was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, making my cheeks fall. ! ✨✨The room was in a great location where you could see Mt. Myojin from the window. It was raining on the first day and the view was not great, but the next morning when the haze and gas cleared, it was an amazing view. The cafe ``Café de Coixo'' opened next to the hotel was opened by the daughter after she completed her training as a pastry chef, and the parent and child run the inn and the cafe together. The name of the cafe is said to come from the old man who ran the cafeteria's idiom "Dokkoisho", and the crème brûlée served as dessert for dinner, as well as the cake and coffee we had at the cafe, were all excellent. ! ✨✨😊

The customer service of the employees was very polite. The building is old, but the area around the lobby is kept clean. Think of the toilet, bath, and room as being like a mountain hut. There is only one outlet in the room, and the lights turn off around 9pm, so be careful when charging your smartphone or mobile camera. While using a kerosene fan heater, that outlet will also be occupied. The bath was pleasant, but there was no hot water at all, so I washed my hair in the bath water. There is body soap, but no shampoo (you are asked to bring your own; shampoo itself is not prohibited). The food is bland country cuisine. It has an elegant taste, but the volume is not enough for a standard accommodation course. If you want to eat a full meal, there are courses that allow you to add additional dishes, so please choose that option. From around 6am, the area becomes full of monkeys. Overall, it feels like a simple inn. This is an inn that I hope will continue to do its best in the future.

The mountain hut uses its own power, so water and electricity are limited. You will need a battery since the electricity will be cut off between 9pm and 6pm and you won't be able to charge your smartphone. The toilet is designed to flush only a small amount of water. No trash can, no TV. Take your trash home with you. The equipment was old and leaking. The bath felt so good! The entrance hall and dining room are made of wood and have a nice atmosphere. The meal was delicious with lots of wild vegetables! I love the salt-grilled char. Since there were no meat dishes, it was not enough for my tired body.I think it's a good idea if you're okay with the restrictions of spending time in a mountain hut.

Kamikoji is a tourist attraction, so the accommodation fee is expensive, but they also provide cake for dessert. It is located in a quiet place across the river from Myojin Mountain Lodge, so I think it is a good place to rest quietly.

Hidaya in the mountains is about an hour and a half walk from Kappa Bridge while taking in the scenery. This is an inn for enjoying nature. This is not suitable for those who want a comfortable hotel. The power will be forcibly turned off at 9pm. There is no toilet or bath in the room. The food is also, to put it bluntly, simple. However, the people who work at the inn are very friendly, we take walks at night with lanterns (on a clear day, the stars are really beautiful), and the food is charred rice cooked in a pot. You can feel the leisurely flow of time as you chat with the people staying at the hotel. Also, the check-out time is early at 8:30, but since we tend to be late in our activities, this is actually a good thing for us, as we can enjoy the clear morning scenery while heading to Kappa Bridge at 10:00, and have an early lunch at Taisho Pond at 1:00 p.m. and. This is my second stay here, having been there 15 years ago, and it's still a wonderful inn.

It is a 60 minute walk from Kappa Bridge and is a place full of nature. Located on the banks of Myojin Pond, the proprietress of the inn provided us with a very warm welcome. I stayed for several nights, and they served me a rare rock fish sashimi, baked me a dessert, and delivered watermelon almonds to my room.Thank you very much✨
