Saito was an unbelievable host that goes the extra mile to make guests feel welcome. His English was good and we used a translation app to fill in any gaps. I can't recommend this place enough.

For the first time, I stayed at Kaikoen with my son and his family. Both the host and his wife were very personable and we had a great time even though we only stayed for one night.I will go again next year (^O^)

When I previously stayed with my family, the location was great and the elderly husband was kind enough to lend me beach supplies. As for the food, it was cold and felt like it had been prepared ahead of time, which was a shame as the fish at another guesthouse was better. The view from the room was nice and the room was clean, so when I called again in the winter to stay alone, his attitude suddenly changed as soon as I heard there was only one person staying, even though it was off-season. , if you can't get a reservation on that day, you'll be stuck. On other days, I initially said on the phone that there were vacancies, but I was turned down and told ``the room is full.'' This surprised me because the story is clearly different. I was so shocked and it was so disrespectful. When I stayed there before, I felt strongly about the young couple's favoritism towards other bikers, but this incident made me feel particularly bad. I was planning to stop by on a tour, but I was very disappointed. I think people who stay at other minshukus will be able to feel the warmth and goodness of minshukus.
