It is located in a corner of a village called Hidedate, which is about a 15-minute drive from Uehara Port on Iriomote Island. If you cross the Urauchi River from Uehara, there are fewer private houses, but the surrounding area is a conservation area so it is quiet. There is a lot of green. On the other hand, it is probably the best place to feel the nature of Iriomote. As the name suggests, a beach house is a building in front of the sea, but it is built with the premise of playing in the sea, with a water hole where you can wash your feet and body when you get out of the sea, and a drying area. The situation changes a lot depending on the ebb and flow of salt, but the sea is shallow so it's not like swimming.Access is from Uehara Port, but if you have a local bus, that's fine, or if you come from Ishigaki Island by Anei Ferry, you can get off at Anei Kanko's free shuttle bus right in front of you. When boarding the ferry, please let us know that you will be using the bus.For better or for worse, I really want to preserve a natural island like Iriomote, so I can't deny that it will be a bit of an inconvenience to stay there. I wanted to be able to understand that the island is not for tourists and to be able to blend in with the life of the local people and flora and fauna, so I was very satisfied with my stay. There are no plastic bottle recycling facilities on the island, so you can rent bottles, but if you bring your own bottle or an empty one, there are many facilities that will share the water for you, so you don't have to buy water. In fact, I think it's a great exercise because it creates opportunities for interaction with local people. When I was walking along the beach in the morning, elementary school students on their way to school greeted me cheerfully. It's a really nice island.

We stayed in July. I actually wanted to stay for 2-3 nights, but I couldn't make a reservation, so I had no choice but to stay for only 1 night. It really felt like a guesthouse from the good Showa era. …

I used it for an overnight stay. The meal looked delicious, but there was no food provided on that day, so I had no choice but to stay without meals.I stayed in a bed type room, which had a hot shower and was generally comfortable.I was told that there was no microwave for preparing breakfast etc., but there was a kettle in the room, so I thought it would be nice if you could let me know about that in advance. Also, for dinner, there are curry restaurants nearby, so if you check the opening hours in advance, you can have a good meal.Although it is a little far from the ferry terminal area, the view of the Hoshidate Coast in front of the inn is exceptional. Watching the sunset with only the sound of the waves was the best.If you bring a beach mat with you at night, you can see the starry sky so big that you can even see the Milky Way, even if you don't go on a starry sky tour. The hotel will also lend you bath towels and flashlights for the beach. We recommend insect repellent, long sleeves, and long pants to prevent insects.

This is a guesthouse with delicious food. If you make a reservation in advance, you can also enjoy special dishes such as giant clam, five-colored shrimp, gasami, and Ryukyu wild boar for dinner. Short walk to the beach. If the conditions are good, you may be able to see a beautiful sunset or starry sky. We used a Japanese-style room. It wasn't very spacious as it was 6 tatami mats, but I had no complaints. You can also use credit cards for payment, but since it's an island, it may not work if the communication environment is disrupted.
