In the winter, the signboard cat often takes up his position in front of the stove in the rest area and relaxes warmly. He is a gentle cat.

I used the hot spring here in the evening in June. I felt that many locals would also use it. The business was very good and the receptionist was a kind grandma. The hot hot springs were very comfortable, but when I walked out of the bathhouse and walked to the lobby, I felt even more stuffy. My already dry body began to sweat again. I originally wanted to sit on the sofa in the lobby and pet the kitten, so I had to put it on as soon as possible. Shoes escape indoors. It’s really cooler outdoors than in the lobby. Please turn on the air conditioner🥹

If you come to Kakunodate and want to soak in a hot spring, I recommend this one. It’s not too far on foot from the station in 12 minutes. After soaking, you can have dinner at Dojian Ren next door and then slowly walk back to the station. Although it is an old hot spring hotel, it has complete facilities. There should be a cat there but I didn’t see it (a pity)

The hot springs were spacious and at a suitable temperature, so I took my time. There is also a sauna. Free tea and coffee are provided in the accommodation building. You can take a bath from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Even a single room without meals costs around 7,000 yen, but the room facilities (large bed, toilet, washroom, refrigerator, kettle, indoor wear, towels, toothbrush, tea, table and chairs, TV, closet) are good. Drinkable hot springs.

The hot springs were hot and comfortable 😊 The breakfast was delicious ✨ I thought the cat wasn't there, so when I checked out, there it was! At the entrance of the Doma-jin where we had breakfast 😊 It was so cute 😺

I wanted to see the weeping cherry blossoms at Kakunodate Samurai Residence, and I thought it would be a hot spring inn with easy access, so I made a reservation early. It takes less than 10 minutes to Samurai Residence Street, so access is good. It was also nice to meet the sales manager's cat, Mei-chan.Is it possible that you are an extreme cat lover? I'm glad you approached me.Also, when I asked to leave my carry-on case before check-in, I was grateful that they kindly accepted. I was also wet from the rain so I was given a towel right away, which I appreciated! The hot springs also had a melting feel that showed the strength of the alkaline water. However, the water was hot.I would like to use it again the next time I am in Kakunodate.
