We arrived before the checkin time of three o'clock. The place was deserted and the staff were steadfast that we would not be checked in until three. …

Old building in an old part of town, but Oga feels ancient and they highlight local transitions. Volcano rock miso soup was highlight of food. Service was good.

I made a reservation with 3 friends and family because the website said it was possible to use the small banquet hall for dinner, but the banquet hall was currently unavailable and we had to eat in the large venue. I was most looking forward to dinner in the small room when I booked it, but when I couldn't make it, I felt like there was no point in booking this hotel and my enjoyment of the trip was halved. Please update the facility information on the website from time to time.

My husband and I stayed in a relaxing twin Western style room in the main building. The room has been beautifully renovated as shown on the website. …

It was barrier-free.The rooms and baths are spacious and you can spend a relaxing time.It was like a Kaiseki event both in the morning and in the evening.I was looking forward to Viking, but I was disappointed that it was a set due to the timing.

Stayed in September 2020. Parking is free. The room, dinner, breakfast, public bath, and customer service were all of a high standard. For dinner, a stone-grilled miso soup filled with plenty of fish will be prepared and served right in front of you. The only disappointing thing was the view from the room. When I made the reservation, there weren't many rooms available and the view wasn't very good, but is it okay? That's what I was told, so I can't help it. Next time, I would like to stay in a room with a good view. If you're lucky, you can watch the powerful Namahage Taiko performed at the Oga Onsen Koryukan, which is just a few minutes' walk away.
