I stayed here while touring. The building, which was built with reused building materials from a red-light district in Shinjuku that was dismantled, is a large, luxurious inn with very elaborate designs throughout. However, many parts of the building are now damaged beyond repair, and the large hall has been turned into a storage room. At its peak, the pond in the courtyard was said to be filled with dozens of carp, each costing 3 million yen, but no longer has water in it, and it appears to have been empty for some time. Now, it is only open for overnight stays in 4 rooms. However, there is a sense of ``detachment'' here, where beautiful things decay. The freshness of the hot water is the best.

This is an inn at Mine Onsen in Kawazu Town. It's across from the Odoriko Kaikan, so I stopped by for a day trip to the bathhouse. The elegant building, the indoor bath made with plenty of Izu stone, and the lukewarm open-air bath were wonderful.I called and asked about it, but it is possible to reserve it for your family.I thought the open-air bath needed a little more maintenance (there were a lot of fallen leaves at the bottom of the bath, and some decomposed leaves), but since there were no other people around, it was relaxing.

It seems that the building used to be a red-light district in Shinjuku was relocated in 1933 and was used as a high-class Japanese style inn. Currently, it is operating as a small inn where only some of the rooms are used for overnight stays. This time I used it for a day trip bath (bathing fee 1000 yen). Although the former red-light district building had deteriorated over time, it had a flavor that modern architecture lacks. The hot spring uses sodium chloride spring with water at a temperature of 99 degrees and pH 8.4, and the temperature of the bathtub is perfect, making it very pleasant. I think this is a good hotel that will satisfy both hot spring enthusiasts and architecture enthusiasts. I would like to stay there if I have a chance.

A luxury inn that once boasted prosperity. At its peak, it reportedly accepted groups of 100 people. Nowadays, they specialize in overnight stays and only accept a few groups. This inn is undeniably old, but I think it's worth it to fully enjoy the hot springs of a former luxury inn.

A luxurious hot spring inn built for the concubines of a conglomerate using building materials transported from the red-light district of Shinjuku. The owner was kind enough to reserve a private open-air bath that was vacant when I stopped by, so I was able to use it as a drop-in bath. It can be said that this area can be reserved for 1000 yen per person throughout the country, but isn't that the case? Some of the buildings were old and broken, and some were not well-maintained, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, feeling as if I had wandered into a story.

Take a day trip to the hot springs by bike.My body was cold to the core after crossing Hakone from Atsugi IC, but thanks to the hot springs at Mine Onsen, I was revived. We arrived at 2pm, before guests checked in, so the hot springs on the first and second floors were completely reserved.According to the host, it's best to use the hot springs for a day trip until 3pm at the latest so that you can have exclusive access to the hot springs. Some people may be a little concerned about the cleanliness, but if you like old buildings, you won't be disappointed.

This is a hot spring inn that was once built by an important member of the Mitsui Zaibatsu as a red-light district for his concubines.Since we don't pay any attention to gold, we use top-quality building materials and stones. The stone pavement at the entrance is also made of columnar joints cut from the nearby coast, and now that it has been designated as a natural monument, it seems that it will never be used anywhere else. The hot spring water is drawn first from the large fountain, so it is very fresh. The next day after taking a hot spring bath, my skin is noticeably smoother. Even if you search all over the country for a hot spring like this, you won't find it.

Day trip hot spring use. It was 1,000 yen per person to rent for one hour. Although it is a fairly old inn, it has a large lobby and a quaint atmosphere. There are two indoor baths and an open-air bath. Cleaning may be a bit tedious, so if you're sensitive, you might be concerned. My husband and I were able to enjoy it slowly and were very satisfied. Although it was hot, it was a wonderful hot spring that warmed the core of my body.
