[Recommended for those who want to fully enjoy their Akita trip! ]I stayed here for one night with 6 of my co-workers. The owner knows very well how to enjoy Akita, so we consulted him about our travel plans and it turned out to be a very fulfilling trip to Akita. The optional tour around Kakunodate Street took us to places that would be difficult to find through regular sightseeing, and we were very satisfied.(It was interesting to learn how to make the special Kabazaiku.)For breakfast, I baked bread on the irori hearth. Spending time around the irori hearth with friends was a happy time, and making bread was also fun.The experience of staying in a historic thatched-roof inn is valuable, and it is also easily accessible from downtown Kakunodate.I think you can enjoy it with friends or family. It is also recommended for people from overseas because you can enjoy the Japanese atmosphere. It was a memorable trip. thank you. I will use them again.

Highly recommended👍👍👍must stay here in this lifetime….It was my first time in Japan to experience a farmhouse B&B that can only be seen on Japanese TV. Mr. Miskito’s warm reception. Authentic local cuisine and rice stick pot. Self-made charcoal toasted bread. Helping the office to lend luggage. We can walk around the street with peace of mind. In the end, they helped us take a photo in front of the gate. Meticulous service and great accommodation experience😍😍😍

We felt like stay at friend's place. Mac, the host made sure my mom (76 year old) and everyone was comfortable. The room was traditional Japanese style with traditional Japanese sliding-wall so it you could hear the noise from other rooms. But all guests are nice, everyone tried to keep it down so we had no problem sleeping. and I loved this ambient as it's authentic but Mac add convenient equipment for your comfortable stay.He let us made bread on stick, I’m not sure what it’s called but it’s definitely fun for all guests. The food was delicious too.You could see that Mac is a hard working man who love doing his job to make his guest happy.

The owner of the B&B was very polite and kind. He helped us make rice sticks and toasted bread by hand, and experienced local traditional food, which was all delicious. The thatched house is really beautiful. I like this kind of traditional Japanese home very much. The inside of the B&B is also very clean. The bathroom has a very fragrant cypress smell. It was a bit cold when we arrived, but the owner of the B&B was very considerate in the house. There are heaters placed in every corner, so it is very warm inside, making it a great stay. The B&B is also very close to the Kakunodate samurai family, which is very convenient. I really recommend everyone to come and experience it.

I like the old Japanese-style architecture of this thatched cottage of an old folk house. For dinner, the host arranged to experience the making of rice sticks, which is very special. The rice is pounded into a sticky shape and has some grainy texture, and the hands are kneaded into a ball-like frame. It is grilled next to the oven until it is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It is then cut into pieces and cooked in vegetable and chicken soup. It is a very special dish. The taste is of course delicious. It is highly recommended for travelers who want to experience Japanese traditional culture. Don’t miss this place. Really recommended 🥰

Amazing host. The house was the most beautiful and traditional that we had in our 40 days trip. Also the bathroom was a one of a kind experience with the rectangular bathtub ❤️
