We arrived in the afternoon with my companion in the room we were immediately disillusioned when we saw the storage room which served as our room. It says in the ad that it's a small room but at this point 3. It's so cramped that we don't even have room to both stand up. The bed barely fits and fortunately we only have 2 small suitcases otherwise it won't even fit in the room. We can't open them or store our clothes anywhere. We had planned to stay 10 days in this room but we also saw the internal regulations which stipulate to keep our trash cans in our room throughout the stay. But there isn't even an exclamation point trash can in the micro fridge that is provided to us and it's so noisy that I don't know if we'll be able to sleep at night. We only have two small windows at our disposal but they overlook the smoking area of the house, so we can't even open them. In addition, given the smell that reigned in the room, there was really a need for an exclamation point regarding the cleanliness of the place. We will come back. I had to clean it myself before putting my things down because there was something funny of traces of liquid solidifying for days on the furniture concerning the bed these are two old spring and leather poufs stuck together with a futon placed on top. Suddenly when they separate there is a 5 cm wide secret crack at the back, totally uncomfortable with no one there to welcome us or ask anything for kisses. A shower has not been functional for several months according to the comments but obviously this does not seem to worry the team. And given that there are at least fifteen rooms, I'll let you imagine the state of the showers and the queue. The toilets are not the best they smell of urine for some of the air vents are almost blocked because they are so full of dust point the kitchen is ridiculously small for so many travelers. Two microwaves a single hotplate and a 1 liter mini kettle for almost 30 people and just two chairs around a table. Given the housing conditions, we only wanted to flee this place as quickly as possible. In two more after a night of fairly restless sleep due to the numbers passing our room I noticed that the private bathrooms indicated in the advertisement do not exist. The three shower rooms are shared between travelers and there are two rooms with sinks that don't even have doors and these are the only places with sinks and mirrors. In addition, it is said that there is a way to wash your laundry inside the building, whether free or for a fee. I will inform you right away that this is not the case. You will have to go to the laundromat across the street and pay around 900 yen for a 6 kg machine, in short a misadventure that we left as quickly as possible for a much better room and for a much lower price I totally advise against it, in in any case at least for room number 212 which is certainly the smallest of all the rooms because it appears to be 3.4 square meters on the plan.

Located in a quiet area nearby a stream. Not difficult to find at all. The room is big enough for two.

Gross. Unmanned check-in was unexpected but not insurmountable issue, particularly as some other guests provided us with a pen the hostel hadn't. Room wasn't bad, but toilets stank of urine and obviously weren't cleaned, as with the lobby and social room which carried an unpleasant odour of feet. Cheap, but unnecessarily nasty.

An almost-generally-unmanned hostel where check in is simple : based on the pdf you'd get from booking , you simply find your room's locker, input the pin, fill the form up, email them, and get going.Rooms be pretty decently clean and comes with at least a bar-fridge. That said, common areas that are not clean, and in fact super dusty include the window, ceiling light (usually not a concern, but the ceiling is pretty low, so you could practically see the dust layer. Walls are thin too, so it's best to keep your voice low (or bear in mind that "walls have ears" indeed :P) Cleaning is done generally around 10 am onwards.Toilet on first floor: 2 for females, one for male. The door for the male toilet is weird. but you'll get used to it (eventually.)Bath room : 2 for male , 1 for female (the other is marked as " DO NOT USE") . Fairly decent - soap and shampoo (even conditioner!!) is provided. There's also an area for you to wash your hands and stuff.Kitchen is small and fairly broken down, with a table for 2 . There are, however, enough utensils to get by.Overall experience, given it's super convenient location ( super near to kyoto station and another on the red line, a mere few km away from popular areas, etc), it's pretty decent for what it is - a place to rest after a long day of exploring. even the surrounding is somewhat beautiful - a stream actually flows in front of it, making for somewhat picturesque experience

The room is clean and comfortable, and provides shared simple kitchenware, but there is no service staff at the door, so you need to check in by yourself.
