It's an old wooden house turned guesthouse.|Rooms are bunk beds with some privacy. With warm futon (I went in autumn).|The shower and toilets are nice and clean.||And the staff was super helpful and kind.

Recommended with 6 stars, it is full of the ingenuity of the literary youth and the friendly and warm atmosphere. It is a hotel where apart from lying on the bed, you want to spend the rest of the time in the living room, kitchen, balcony and toilet, savor this hotel. An old folk house that is more than 100 years old, retro and rough but not dirty and stuffy. The decor is rich and detailed, but nothing superfluous or cheap. Every book in the public area is interesting. The kitchen can be used for cooking. In the evening, I went to the supermarket 3 minutes' walk next door and bought cheap Wagyu beef and Ise udon noodles. I fried and cooked them instead of expensive meals in the tourist area. It is very cheap to borrow a bicycle from the hotel for 300 yen. Although it does not have variable speed, you can ride 15 kilometers slowly (here > Ise Gaigu > Ise Naigu > Couple Rock). Afternoon tea is made at the hotel with hot cocoa and a ball of creamer. Compared with the nearby coffee shop, it is actually more atmospheric at home. I feel embarrassed to keep using the resources of the hotel. So I really feel that the hostess and the store staff are really generous, preparing a hotel full of Japanese culture for the guests from a traveler's perspective. Just the fact that the old house needs to be renovated, pipes installed, toilets and bathrooms built, the entire ancient folk house is designed with great care. Finally, I have to say thank you to the hostess and the store clerk. The family conversations at the kotatsu table before going to bed are the best memories.

It was a 2 day stay. The most important thing here is the comfort of the living room. You'll feel like you're really at home! With the people I met for the first time, the owner, and the staff, I was able to sit around the kotatsu and talk, read books, and feel free and relaxed in one space without feeling out of place. There are showers, but there is also a public bath nearby. There is also a washing machine, so those staying for a long time will be able to carry less luggage. And my sense of value towards guesthouses has changed. There was a wide range of age groups, from people in their 20s to 84 years old when I stayed there. This is a guest house with an atmosphere that allows you to blend into one space without feeling out of place. I will stay here again next time I come to Ise.
