I stayed here for work in the Kawamata area. As the name suggests, it is a guest house. Don't compare it to hotels or inns. However, the food was as luxurious as at a ryokan. I'm not sure about the price as it's paid by the company, but I think it's about 1/3 to 1/5 of the price of a hotel...

A guesthouse located in a village on a side street from the main road. Cooking over the hearth is the best. Finish with handmade soba noodles. The wild vegetable rice rice is exquisite. Grilled salamander is a delicacy. The landlady is also the best.

I felt that the food at Ichinoya was delicious! ️For dinner, each family can sit around the hearth and enjoy charcoal-grilled skewers (beef, chicken, river fish, salamander). In addition, there are many wild vegetables and other foods to choose from! ️🤣This is a long-established guesthouse with hot springs, delicious food, and the shrine of Toshogu Shrine right in front of you, so please come and visit us.There is absolutely no doubt about this! ️This is a guest house. 😊

I came to the hinterland of Nikko because I was drawn to the hearth cuisine. As expected, there is an elegant hearth, and skewers of chicken, pork, beef, char, and Japanese pepper fish are placed around the charcoal in the center of the hearth.I ended up having to refill my rice twice (sweat). The proprietress's hospitality is pleasant, and the building and rooms have a nostalgic atmosphere and are well-maintained.The futon is fluffy, and you can sit under the kotatsu and have a drink in the room. This is an inn that I would like to stay at again.
