I booked a room here for one night on Agoda, there was no check-in or check-out time information present on the app. We've been on the road all day and arrived at 8:13 pm, the door was shut, with a note on it (see the picture). We called the number on the note, an elderly man on the phone said very rudely that no check-in after 8 o'clock. We were shocked. We thought maybe there was some misunderstanding. So we asked a Japanese friend to help us to contact the host again, but the same. Even my Japanese friend said he was an awful man. We had no choice but booked another hotel near here.

It has a tatami room like a traditional Japanese house, and it is a place where you can make and fold your own blankets. I liked the air conditioner and the lights because they were state-of-the-art. The bathroom is small, but it also has a bathtub. But I saw a big cockroach in the room. While I was wondering what to catch it with, it disappeared.I was very grateful to the boss for taking care of so many things for me.

My stay in Kyoto was truly wonderful. The accommodation is simple, comfortable, and traditional. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our experience even more enjoyable. As an added touch, we received a small gift when we left, which was a lovely surprise. I highly recommend this comfortable place for anyone looking to stay in Kyoto.

On the road to Arashiyama, in front of the theme amusement park built inside the Toei film studio. You can get around easily by bus, the place is nice and quiet and there are many restaurants nearby.

Our host was really friendly, gifted us with some tea when we left. The dorm was in the style of a traditional ryokan, so we slept on futons, which were really comfortable. The kitchen had some basic equipment with cups, bowls, a microwave and a heater and a mini fridge. It's a little far in the west of Kyoto but as we planned to see Arashiyama bamboo grove it was perfect for us.

It was a great place to stay, and although I only stayed for a few days, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was very kind and took care of me by carrying my 20 kg luggage up the stairs. The room is a Japanese-style room equipped with everyday necessities such as a bath, microwave, toaster oven, etc. Although the location is certainly a bit far from tourist spots such as Shijo and Fushimi Inari, the Uzumasa region and nearby Sagano are also rich in history, and thanks to the guesthouse's location, we were able to experience some interesting temples and restaurants. I'm looking forward to the day I can come again.
