A new annex has been built. Renovation? The gap between the exterior and interior is amazing lol The room is stylish! The response from the reception (female) is not good. I want loungewear. Not having slippers is inconvenient.

Use of Japanese-style room. The comfortable bedding allowed me to sleep soundly until morning. There were plenty of amenities, and I was grateful that they provided extra towels if I stayed for multiple nights. There was no shortage of power and it was convenient to have a paper lantern next to the bed. Late at night, you can hear the voices of drunken customers, but I guess that's part of the atmosphere of the trip.

This is a very compact, reasonably priced, almost contactless hotel.I think it would be a good base for visiting nearby hot springs ✨

■Overall review 3.0A hotel just for staying.Although it is old, there were no problems with cleanliness, so it is sufficient if you are just staying here.■Good points·cheap・Free parking & nearby・Convenient for going to see cherry blossoms as Kikuchi Park is nearby■Unfortunate points・There was only a power source on the desk side of the room, so it was impossible to charge your smartphone while in bed.

A business hotel in Kikuchi Onsen town. With Kikuchi City's travel support plan, I was able to stay at a cheap price of 2,800 yen per night + a 1,000 yen gift certificate!Although the hotel is an old hotel and has some damage, such as the guest room doors, it seems that the facilities and services are being updated from time to time (they have recently started offering rental cars), and you can feel the management's efforts throughout. When I entered the room, I thought it was a little dark, but the lighting was of the type that could be adjusted with a remote control. The shower took a while to reach the right temperature, but the water pressure was good and the head had a switch so it was easy to use.Wi-Fi is also relatively comfortable.Room keys have been renewed to require a PIN code.It is best to lock the inside with a conventional lock and double lock. The desk light is old and the night light cannot be used.Room wear is not provided, so please bring your own.One thing that bothers me is that I can hear noises both inside and outside the hotel.Originally, there were many bars around Kikuchi Onsen Town.At night, loud voices can be heard, which may be a problem for some travelers, especially solo female travelers.Otsu Town, where there are many hotels, seems to be having a hard time getting reservations these days, probably due to large-scale construction work, so if you expand your options to Kikuchi, you might be able to find a hotel like this.Recommended for those who are used to traveling.
