Asunaimaki Hot Spring DaikansoCompared with Kurokawa Onsen area, Uchimaki Onsen area is less heard, but it is closer to Aso city and also close to Aso Station. There are really few tourists in Uchimaki Onsen. There are shops and restaurants, but most of the restaurants close early or only open for lunch, but there are quite a few home wine bars.Daguanzhuang only has three floors and no elevator. You may have to consider this if you carry large luggage. The open space outside the hotel is the parking lot, and there are quite a few parking spaces. The hotel itself is very clean, and some facilities have a sense of history, but the rooms and some facilities feel like they have been renovated.I only saw one person at the counter, and it was the same person at breakfast the next day. Service hours are not 24 hours. The key has a very historical feel and is a traditional key. There is a hot spring available on the first floor, but the business hours close very early. If you want to soak in the hot spring, you should pay attention to the time.We stayed on the second floor this time and had a renovated room. The room was very spacious and the toilet and bathroom were separated. However, the renovated room did not have a bathtub. There is a laundry room on the second floor, which contains a washing machine, dryer, vending machine, microwave oven and ice machine. There is also a smoking room. Once you enter the smoking room, there are sockets in the area where you can work (non-smoking area), and there is also a large comic wall with many famous comics (but all in Japanese) that you can borrow. The glass room inside is the smoking room, equipped with sofas and ashtrays, and feels very comfortable. There is also a dining area on the second floor, which is where we ate every other day.Our accommodation plan includes breakfast. The next morning the service staff will come to the room and knock on the door one by one to take us to the restaurant.Breakfast is a prepared set meal, not a self-service type, with a lot of local ingredients, and you can feel the hotel's care.Check-in date: Check-in on May 11, 2024 - Check-out on May 12.Booking method: Jalan

I used it when traveling alone. The room was clean as it had been renovated. The thick mattress under the futon was very nice. I usually use a bed and I can't sleep very well if I put my futon directly on the tatami mat, but I was able to get a good night's sleep with the mattress. The temperature of the hot spring was a little low, but it was just right for a relaxing soak.

I think it had been closed for a long time, but I decided to stay there for the first time when I realized I could make reservations. The hot springs at Uchinomaki Onsen are completely different even in the neighborhood, but the water here has a murky, yellow-green color that gives it a true hot spring feel. Apparently, during the winter, the temperature is adjusted by adding hot water, but considering the size of the bathtub, a considerable amount of water is poured over the bathtub, and it looks fresh, contrary to the color. One thing to note is that you can only take a bath at night until 9pm and breakfast starts at 8am, so the time didn't work out for me, so they forced me to have breakfast at 7:30am, which was very helpful. There seems to be no elevator, so it may be difficult for people with walking disabilities. Also, there were a lot of "Onsen Musume" signs and goods in the lobby, so I forgot to ask about the origin.

Two people stayed overnight on a Saturday in September. It was a clean room on the second floor.Despite its appearance, the rooms are surprisingly new. The tatami mats, toilet with automatic washlet lid, and sink were clean, and there was even a shower booth. Some of the guest rooms have facilities that seem to be older, but they are rather tasteful and good. The TV is way too big. It's nice to have an extension cord hair dryer. The futon was spread out from the moment I entered the room, probably because I was staying overnight without meals. I slept well on the thick mattress and clean futon. The only negative aspect is that the windows and doors are very thin so you can hear sounds from outside the city. The door to the room was thin, but there was a key, and the inside of the building was surprisingly quiet (although there were probably other people staying there as well).Furthermore, the laundry space and smoking area are clean, and there is a work space with a microwave oven, electrical outlets, and even comics.Considering the price, this is the best inn, but here are some things that I was concerned about (personally, it's within an acceptable range)First of all, the public bath hours were until 9pm on this day. I thought guests could enter the room 24 hours a day, but unfortunately there was no specific information at the front desk, so I was unable to enter at night. When I went in the next morning, the temperature was surprisingly low even though it was a hot spring in Uri. It seems that they add water to lower the temperature in the summer, but perhaps they didn't adjust it enough on this day...(It's a shame because the quality of the springs was good)Other amenities are minimal, so it's best to bring your own. Also, there is no elevator in the building, so you will have to use the stairs. There was a step from the entrance, and it was a style that you could walk up to with your shoes on.The renovations have been quite thorough, so I can't complain about the price. There are good-looking restaurants around the location, and the parking lot is free and you can come and go as you like. We recommend that you check with the front desk regarding hot springs. There's no problem if you're just staying for the time being, but if you're a solo woman, you'll want to make sure you have good security (because there's no staff at the front desk at night).

I stayed here without meals for Pukifes. It has been renovated and the water area is beautiful.I have stayed at several hotels and inns in Aso, but this was the best, so I would like to make it my regular accommodation.◯8 tatami room for one person◯ Well-maintained and clean◯There is a mattress under the futon and it is comfortable to sleep on.◯The quality of the hot spring water is good△The walls are thin, so it's easy to hear outside sounds.→When I stayed there, there were no noisy people, so I didn't have any problems.△There is no power supply at the sink in the room, or there is no large mirror near the power supply.→You need to go to the public bath to set your hair.

This is a newly renovated hotel (ryokan?). The mattress is wonderful ✨The hot spring can be partitioned to enjoy two different temperatures. There is also a covered bicycle parking lot in front of the entrance for bikers. For about 10,000 yen, you can have an 8 tatami room all to yourself with a luxurious mat 😆 The chair set on the veranda is also nice.It is in a great position for eating out in the Uchinomaki shopping district, and there are no slopes on the sticky flat ground ☺️However, the wife is not good at answering phone calls, but she is such a good person that when you go there, everything is cancelled. When you answer the office phone, please do so with enthusiasm.

The room had a separate toilet and shower booth, and the tatami mats and TV were new, making for a very comfortable stay. I was able to stay in the warm hot springs for a long time and it was very comfortable, and I enjoyed it twice in the morning and evening.

*Taikansou was reopened after renovation in December 2022. Please note that rooms, meals, hot springs, etc. have changed significantly. The oldest inn in Aso Uchinomaki Onsen. The appearance is more like a hotel than an inn. It's located in the center of the hot spring town, and there's a convenience store just a 5-minute walk away, so you won't feel inconvenienced during your stay. The hot springs are fed directly from the source. Although it is an indoor bath only, you can use it at any time you like, whether it is late at night or early in the morning. Recommended for those who want to enjoy a relaxing hot spring.I'm glad that after the renovation, I can now put it in hot water any time.Day trip bathing is also possible.I stayed here because of the collaboration with Onsen Musume, and since then I have visited many times during my trip to Kumamoto, and the staff are warm and welcoming, and I have always had a comfortable stay.I will visit you again sometime!

During the recent cold wave, we were informed that the hot spring boiler was not working properly and the hot spring was getting hot, but they responded flexibly and we were able to warm up properly. This time we used the Aso Homura collaboration room.Since it was a collaborative room, I think it would have been nice to have an explanation of the features of the room.I was able to relax in the room. The food was very delicious, including local dishes such as red beef.
