I stayed in Yukumo for 4 nights, and it was clean, spacious, and stylish. It's well-equipped and you can also rent bicycles. The location is also great.

Very comfortable place and well appointed. Mikuni can be a little limited to go around Fukui but there are few things in this charming town and the house is beautiful and well remodeled inside while keeping its old fixtures and charm.

How can an old house be so beautiful! The location is suitable for self-driving tourists. You can prepare some meals before checking in to spend the evening at ease. The owner has generously shared many antique tableware. Please use it with care.I love the washing machine here!

Tsumesho Mikuni, an inn that is limited to two groups, is a more than 100-year-old drug store that was renovated by Alex Carr, who is known for renovating old folk houses. It has been reborn as an inn with modern comfort while retaining the charm of a machiya townhouse built using Kagura-zukuri, an architectural method unique to Mikuni. The building was originally used as one house, but when it was renovated, it was divided into two sections: ``Ryusui'' and ``Gyogumo''. The ``Ryusui'' room I stayed at this time is divided into two rooms, the main building and the storehouse, with an elegant small garden in between. Both rooms are equipped with kitchens and bathrooms, making them luxurious. The guest room at the back retains the atmosphere of a warehouse, and has a comfortable living room with an atrium. It's relaxing to look at the oxidized silver beams and plaster walls that give you a sense of the passage of time in Minato-cho. I was especially happy to be able to spend time with my friends in a comfortable, high-quality space.

2020.01.15This is a B&B. I didn’t stay in it, but I came here for interviews because of work, so I had the opportunity to visit the interior and share my photos for your reference.

I made a reservation a long time ago, but it was canceled due to the typhoon, and I was finally able to stay this time. It's a townhouse building with a stylish interior that looks like an eel's bed. The bedroom on the second floor was a bit small with a single bed, but it would have been better if it was a little bigger. There was hand soap in the bathroom, but I couldn't use it because the label had peeled off and the pump didn't look clean. There was a coffee bean grinder, but it would have been better if they had a coffee machine or drip coffee. There were many speeding cars on the road in front of the building, probably a loophole. There are not many places to eat in Mikuni. Reservations for dinner are recommended. By the way, I made a reservation at Uoshiro.

The inn is listed in the Michelin Hokuriku edition, and we were able to spend a comfortable stay in an old private house that was completely renovated. It's a little disappointing that there's no parking lot next door, but it's close enough that it doesn't bother me too much. It's also close to Sunset Beach, and there are many delicious restaurants nearby. The room is spacious, so I think it's perfect for spending time with family and friends.
