I usually go to guesthouses on the Sekumi coast, but this time I went all the way to Miko for the first time and stayed at Teramoto Ryokan. In this area, the sashimi dishes at night are so rich that I can't finish them all, but they save them for breakfast. The inn was one street back from the coastline, so it was a little hard to find, but the alleys had a charm to them, so I think that was a good thing.

I went on a family trip with my three children (4 years old, 2 years old, and 0 years old). It was a great help to have the bath reserved for us. The dining room is also private, which is great for families with children. As mentioned in other reviews, the amount of rice was so satisfying that I couldn't finish it all! The owner and his wife were both friendly and accommodating to our requests. I would like to use it again if I have a chance.

Anyway, the view from the beach in front of me was amazing, especially just before sunset. For those staying at the inn, there's a huge variety of dishes, from huge flounder to salt-grilled sea bream, live squid sashimi, and live abalone. Even I, a big eater, couldn't finish it all...We had the leftovers from the previous day served for breakfast the next day.It was perfect for a culinary inn.

Three people stayed for one night on September 10, 2020 (10,000 yen including tax for the seasonal morning catch course). The photo of the dinner is taken when we were seated, and then we continued with salt-grilled cutlassfish, steamed egg custard, fried horse mackerel sardines, and soup. The plate was flounder, sweet shrimp, squid, and red sea bream. I saved lunch for dinner and managed to finish it all. Not to mention the taste. After dinner, we enjoyed night fishing at the port in front of us. There is no curfew and you can take a bath until 10pm, which is helpful for anglers. I was able to spend a somewhat fulfilling summer vacation thanks to the clean interior of the hotel and the friendly reception provided by the hostess and her husband. This time, we took advantage of the discount for residents of neighboring prefectures in the Fukui de advantageous campaign. We received a 5,000 yen accommodation discount per person and a 2,000 yen coupon that can be used at souvenir shops, so we had a great stay. Please note that reservations can only be made directly by phone, so please be careful when making online reservations. We stayed again on September 16, 2020 for 1 night for 3 people (10,000 yen including tax for the seasonal morning catch course). This time it was the season for bigfin squid, so I was looking forward to it. The rockfish and bigfin squid are the best. You can have as much fried small horse mackerel as you want. Thank you very much. I would like to stay again next year.

The amount of sashimi is amazing. And it's delicious. Is this 2 servings? Did I sit in the wrong seat? That's how much it was.The fried fish was warm and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I'm surprised that it can be fried so beautifully. Unfortunately, I was so full that I couldn't eat it all. It was delicious. The next morning's boiled beans and dried daikon radish were also delicious. The building feels dated, but the inside of the room has been beautifully renovated. The people at the inn are also very kind and pleasant.
