OMG, what a what a find! It is a budget accommodation with customer service of the highest order.Chikaru, the owner of the guest house as well as chef of Asunao restaurant across the lane not only belts out amazing meals, he showered me with boundless hospitality during my stay.I arrived late in the evening to discover the handful of restaurants all booked full yet after settling me in, he made many phone calls and not only found one opened, he personally escorted me to the place.Throughout my stay he responded to many of my queries and I am so glad I organised breakfast tray for each morning - the creamy miso soup, onigiris with different seasoning each day and home made pickles really kicked started my days. Also, the guest house is very centrally located and easy to get around.Thank you so much, Chikaru!

Stayed 2 nights. Good basic, clean accommodation with friendly, helpful staff at a very good price for Naoshima. Only one bathroom and toilet which were adequate. Very close to all the Art House Project facilities, public transport and a couple of great restaurants and near the port from which the slower ferry departs.

There was only one bath, and other guests were using it for a long time so I couldn't get into it. I think it is necessary to devise measures such as dividing it by time.

Check-in took a long time. It's also difficult to get a receipt. The room on the first floor smelled a little musty - it went away when I opened the window, but I wanted to ask for air conditioning and ventilation in advance. The only photo I could find was one with the noren curtain open, but it was hard to find on that day as it wasn't hanging outside. The gojiru for breakfast was different from what I expected, but I was allergic to soybeans, so I couldn't eat it (fermented miso is fine, though...)Overall, there were many disappointing things.

I stayed here during the Setouchi Art Festival. The cost performance is the best.Although the room is old, it is clean and makes you feel at home. The toilet and bath are shared.NHK was not shown.Breakfast was simple but delicious.I would like to stay here again during the art festival.

Two stars for the breakfast, tasty.Close to honmura lounge, but bad for resting.Definitely need renovation immediately, if they want to continue this business. If you want to make friends here, maybe it’s the choice for you. But if you want to have a good sleep, please don’t choose here.Especially the room on the ground floor is totally a disaster, they set the rules for not using the shower after 10pm but allow everyone to talk in share space in anytime which is just next to the room. So you could be wake up in anytime cause it’s a small wooden house. The management team never reminded other guests to be quiet cause someone sleep on the ground floor, which make us more disappointed even they take the high rate during the golden week.
