postscriptI went there for the first time in five years.The amount of food in my memory has decreased considerably, and there are no more fried foods, and it may be due to the recent rise in prices, but honestly, I would be happy with the amount I had before, even if I had to raise the price a little more.It was a great shop, but I don't think I'll go there again...I'm very satisfied for now.Your food will be brought to you as soon as you sit down.Full of volume as everyone has written.There's white rice, tofu rice, and mentaiko rice, and you can get a second helping, and the person who seems to be the owner will ask you to eat until you're full, so you can eat without hesitation, which is great.I was very satisfied with the taste as well as the volume.If all goes well, it will take about an hour and a half from Okayama city, so you don't have to worry about going that far, and the dishes change daily, so you won't have to worry too much about it, so I'll be sure to go again.

The president and employees are both great. Tofu rice is the best. In particular, you can eat as much Bichu beef as you want.

Asahido is a restaurant located in Takahashi City, Okayama Prefecture that serves local cuisine. I was brought here by a local. It's probably one of the bigger stores around here. Apparently you can stay overnight on the second floor of the building. There is a ticket vending machine right at the entrance, so you can choose your menu there. Today I had the recommended daily set meal, tofu rice (1300 yen). It seems that some people who are food fighters come here, so you can get up to 3 refills. If you have 4 or more cups, you have to buy matcha pudding (I don't know how much it costs). As soon as I sat down, more and more came out. First, the meat is grilled on a stone grill. And three small bowls. And eel rolls. And ramen with homemade chicken stock (I heard this is today's soup lol). And tofu rice, a local specialty of Takahashi City. I can't eat this much! That's what comes out. What's more, it's topped with almond tofu. Inside the store, the staff (probably the owner) will talk to you and you will be able to receive additional dishes. I declined because I didn't want to leave anything behind, but the members who came with me were given second helpings of rice. Ah, the taste! They said it was all handmade, but it was delicious with gentle seasoning. The tofu rice was more delicious than I expected, with the dashi soup entwined with the tofu and rice better than it looked. When I was younger, I might have had 2.3 refills. There are things like good value for money, but more than that, I felt that this assortment was luxurious. This is a store I want to come back to!
