An inn with a cat.Whenever I leave the room for some reason, I always run into at least one cat.We were also interested in cats, so we had a lot of fun. However, it feels like they live here rather than being kept as pets, so it doesn't seem like everyone is welcome like at a cat cafe. Also, for those who want to touch cats in the same way, I think it would be a good idea to purchase tulle.Even cats who won't let you touch them easily will come closer if you show them the tulle. It seems like she's just obsessed with tulle, but whether or not she'll let you touch it is a different story. The area around the inn seemed to be a residential area, but there are plenty of restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance, so you won't have any problems finding food. However, please be aware that the surrounding area is very dark at night as there are few street lights. It was a good stay and I felt very relaxed. She also said she would love to go.

Harusame provides a choice of self-contained accommodations in European and Japanese styles, each small apartment is in a separate small house. We stayed in a Japanese style flat with futon beds, Japanese style sitting table and necessary appliances (a small fridge, a kettle, a TV set/DVD player, a reverse cycle air-conditioner, all in a perfect working order). The bathroom is very large, with a deep bath tub and a separate shower. The place is kept immaculately clean. The WiFi was quite fast. The place is managed by a very friendly middle-aged couple, who can speak English sufficiently well. The managers care very attentively about the guests – you can use the owners’ laundry (bring your own laundry liquid), you also borrow a pushbike to explore the town. When they learned that we are interested to try fishing from the beach, the manager even let my husband to use his own fishing rod! The only small problem was that we could not use our foreign credit cards to use their website for booking, so we had to ask our Japanese friend to help us.The Harusame is best characterised as a good quality travel hotel (at the time of our stay the food was not served there), but there are many excellent food options nearby. We usually were buying fresh seafood bento and fruits in Okuwa supermarket on our return way to Harusame (Okuwa is just opposite the closest bus stop at the highway 42). There is a bus connection to Hanano Iwaya Caves, Kumano-Shi ( the railway station and the city center) , Onigajo, and also to the Shingu along the coastal highway 42 (walk ~800 m along town road toward ocean to get to the bus stop). By careful planning, you can get Maruyama Terraced Rice Fields and other interesting places in locality by just hopping buses.

I stayed here while visiting Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine. When I asked in advance, they secured a covered parking lot for me, so I was able to stay with peace of mind. They also have a detailed delivery menu, but this time I had dinner at a nearby teppanyaki restaurant. There is also a convenience store nearby, which is helpful.I would like to visit again in the warmer season.

Used by family. The entire building is rented and the parking lot is covered! You won't get wet even on rainy days, so you can come by motorcycle! Meals are generally eaten outside. You can take it out, but be careful not to make a mess.

Cottage-type accommodation. There are 8 rooms arranged around a grassy courtyard. The advantage is that there is enough space between neighbors so you can use them without hesitation. The host is kind and will not only tell you about the facilities and services, but also the surrounding supermarkets. The room was spacious and the bathroom was spacious. In addition to the bed, there was a table, TV, microwave, refrigerator, safe, electronic kettle, and closet.Amenities included a toothbrush, towels, and bathtub. Towels, towel racks, room wear, Wi-Fi, shampoo, glasses, cups, and hair dryers are available. They also provide chopsticks, soy sauce, garbage bags, etc. as needed. They are placed in each room. The facility information book also includes information on nearby restaurants and sightseeing spots. There are Okuwa and Lawson (not open 24 hours) that are open 24 hours a day within walking distance. There are also some restaurants and some shops. I was a little worried that the water pressure in the shower was low. There were several tame cats in the courtyard and chururu was sold at the front desk.Overall, it was a good inn with good value for money and good service. It was more comfortable than the business hotel.
