I went during Obon, and it wasn't crowded. I had a sandwich and dessert.It was a relaxing space surrounded by trees, butThere was no air conditioning and it was hot.There is a parking lot next to the store where you can park several cars.Thank you for the meal.

We purchased and renovated an old private house that had been used as a village headman since the Edo period. It is now a cafe and accommodation facility.The space of the cafe is said to have been the space where the village's annual tax was collected during the Edo period, and you can see that it was originally a wide dirt floor.It was said that the house, which had been used as a headman's house but remained uninhabited for several decades and was in ruins, was purchased.Knowing this historical background gives me a deep feeling when I look at the beams and rafters on the roof. You can feel the weight of history emanating from the building.I visited for lunch on a weekday, and there weren't many customers, so I was able to relax and admire the inside of the restaurant until the meal was ready.Of course, the hot sandwich set for lunch was also delicious!

I only used the cafe.I ordered the venison hayashi rice and it was delicious with lots of venison.The inside of the store was spacious (though it was a bit cold...it looks like it would be cool in the summer) and had a nice, calm atmosphere.The deer lamp that the students made was especially beautiful.The staff is also very friendly and I would like to come back again.

I visited for the first time to help with one of the booths participating in the event on December 16, 2023.I knew about the original Sonoda family residence from a course called ``Tamba Studies'' that I took over 10 years ago, but after that, I noticed holes in the roof on my way to work and became curious about it. . A few years ago, I learned on social media that such an old folk house (which has great historical value) had been renovated into a complex facility. I've been curious about it ever since, and I was finally able to visit it.I just took a quick look around on the street, and it looks like it's been renovated to this extent! That is my honest impression. It's completely different from the inorganic urban spaces, and I think it's a space that will resonate with people who are looking for that sense of value.
