Sukiyaki for dinner was delicious. The breakfast was quite voluminous, and the open-air bath attached to the room and the courtyard were beautiful.

I stayed with my family for 2 nights on September 28th and 29th.We had 2 rooms next to each other for 5 people. The rooms, customer service, and hot springs were perfect, and since it was close to the Botchan-no-Yu main building, it was a very enjoyable stay where you could walk around. One thing that is very disappointing is the food.A big part of the fun of staying at a ryokan is the food, but the food was mediocre and didn't really capture the quality of Shikoku's fresh fish and vegetables. As for breakfast, although the portions were plentiful, there were many dishes that I couldn't handle with my chopsticks.I have several favorite inns around the country, but this was the first time I was served a meal that didn't require chopsticks, and I was surprised. It's a shame because the rooms and customer service are good. However, I really liked the room, indoor bath, and location, so if the food doesn't improve, I'll stay overnight without meals in the future.

Welcomed in the intense heat, the inside of the building is quiet, and the Lladró furniture is wonderful. The public bath is small but can be reserved for private use, and coffee and milk are available after bathing. Coffee milk is delicious. It is also within walking distance to the center of Dogo Onsen.

It's as good as it is expensive. I also requested dinner. There are a lot of things to eat in the nearby shopping street, so I don't think it's necessary to have dinner. It comes as a course, but there isn't much to actually eat. The room is very clean and spacious. If you want to people-watch, you have to go somewhere else. There aren't many rooms here, so it's quiet and the room has an open-air bath. Because of this, I don't think there is a need to go to the public bath. The public bath is small, so it might be crowded if 3 people enter. But you can also have milk when you're done. I slept at Haruka for two days and stayed here for one day. The room is spacious and nice. Drinks in the refrigerator are free. You just get treated well. It felt good because it had an open-air bath so I could go in at any time. The location was close to Haruka and not far from the store. They even gave me beer and coffee when I went to the first floor. The service was good and friendly.
