Recently, Machi Neko Fullness was established and it has become even more fulfilling.Rather than being comforted by a rescued cat, you can go and heal a rescued cat and become a foster parent. (It seems like there are quite a few conditions, but I think it comes from a sense of responsibility.)

Located in a now-defunct elementary school, Haretoke Cafe is a drip coffee joint with the coolest interior possible. The classroom decor has been retained -- think blackboards, chemistry sets, desks, wooden chairs, etc. The owner, while unable to converse in English, was incredibly friendly and offered to do the drip coffee for us even though this is a "DIY" place.

I slowly climbed the narrow path.As mentioned in the reviews, I actually made my own drip coffee in a school classroom using a tripod. It's like a science experiment.

In May, two people were driving in Iya and wanted to drink coffee. On Google Maps, they found this coffee roasting workshop, which was hidden in the mountains and was transformed from an abandoned elementary school. Smelling the smoke of roasting coffee beans, ordering a Japanese pizza made by the owner, sitting under the early summer sun chatting and drinking the day's hand brew, you instantly forgot the rush of the journey. Friends who like to drink coffee may wish to come in and sit for a while if you pass by. Attached are several photos.

I visited again in October 2023.The first time I went there, I found a suspicious signboard on the way to Matsuogawa Onsen and went there. As we went up the narrow slope, we came across a school building that had been closed down and had been renovated into a cafe.When I first went there, they had special curries, but now they mainly serve pizza, cakes, and sweets.This time I had cake and craft cola. You can eat and drink in the unique space of a former classroom, so you can experience an extraordinary feeling.The problem is that the road to get here is narrow. There is nothing we can do about this, so we recommend going by motorcycle, light 4th car, or compact car.
