When we think of camping, we think of Tsukikawaso. No reservations required, it's cheap, and I always enjoy the river play set.Although some of the toilets are for experts, this is the best campsite for people who can enjoy the inconvenience!

Camping along the river is not particularly recommended. There are many groups of young people here, probably from other countries, who play in the river during the day and make loud noises until after 3am at night.Even in the early morning, there was a big fuss in front of other people's tents. The manager doesn't knowLeave as much trash and cigarette butts as you likeAlso, perhaps because the toilet has a bad reputation, there are traces of wild feces here and there, which attracts lots of dirty flies.

This was my first visit and it was fantastic. The sound of the river flowing by was so calming and really nice. There seemed to be a lot of families around, which added to the pleasant atmosphere. It’s a free site, so hunting for the perfect spot was part of the fun. It’s amazing that you can enjoy such a prime location for so cheap. And for a cat lover like me, having cats come up to me was just the cherry on top.

A low-cost campground near Arashiyama Valley where you can stay without reservations. The riverbed is also right in front of you. However, the facilities are not well-equipped, so it is not suitable for people who are looking for a clean campsite. There is a washing area)

This is an experience from a few years ago. I still can't forget it. There is a river, but there is a deep place. I didn't know this and was playing, but I noticed that the child (elementary school student) was acting strange (his mouth was wide open and his eyes were open), and I realized that he was drowning! help me! I screamed, and two adults went to help, but it felt like I was being sucked into the river, and I couldn't even stand on my feet, and even the adults couldn't climb out, when someone nearby put a floating ring on them. He threw it and rescued me. I felt very scared. At that time, the child also drowned and panicked. The child then developed a fever and was diagnosed with pneumonia. On my way home, I saw a child playing in the area where the child had drowned, so I told him to be careful. Even now, I can't forget the look on the child's face at that time. I think some people like it for its natural beauty, but I want them to be careful about the river. Is there anyone else who has had this kind of experience? There are some shallow waters, but I would like to see more consideration given to safety, as to why such areas are not designated as no-swimming areas. We will never go again.

I used Autosite for day camp. The total cost was 1,900 yen for one person (300 yen) + car (700 yen) + tent (900 yen). There are two auto sites: one near the administration building and one behind the solar power generation facility. This time I used the one in the back.Getting to the entrance is easy, but from there it's a problem. The road surface is gravel and very uneven, so it's difficult if you have a low vehicle height. Afterwards, I was quite surprised as there was a steep descent when entering. The road is narrow, so it's impossible to pass each other, so I think it's safe to yield to the person coming in by backing up.The site has temporary toilets and running water. In the winter, water does not seem to be available, so water must be brought in from a tap near the administration building.Afterwards, I saw some people go to the forest behind me to get firewood and small branches. (I haven't confirmed it)The toilet was very dirty as mentioned. The structure allows you to see everything left behind by the person in front of you, so it might be difficult to use it before meals. I also think it is difficult, or rather impossible, for women. I also can't fit a large toilet in this toilet. However, strangely, there was no smell.Although you could occasionally hear the voices of climbers, it was a very quiet campsite where you could relax while listening to the sound of the river flowing.
