One Stage Hotel Ikebukuro

Good little apartment in a quiet neighborhood just outside the busy area around Ikebukero station in Tokyo. Very nice place to live if you don't mind walking 15 min from the station, it is a cosy walk in small streets with residential houses.Check out Siphonista café 650 m from the apartment, it was our local place to get coffee and sandwiches. The owner is very friendly, and the area has other small shops as well.The apartment is small with a sliding door to a bedroom, which was too small to sleep side by side in the 2 single beds without blocking the doorway. We had to turn the one bed sideways to be able to use the closet space.The gas stove has room for 1 pot and 1 pan, but don't expect to cook with both at the same time, because the gas flames are weak when both are used at the same time.It is a good idea to keep the ventilation in the bathroom going 24/7, which is easy because you can set a timer. If the ventilation is off it will smell like mould pretty fast. We also bought a squeegee (rubber floor swiper) for the apartment, to remove water from the walls and floor after shower.When we arrived there was only 1 plate, the frying pan coating had scratches and the spatula was green with mould (kitchen cabinets need to be aired out as well). We asked the owner for one more plate and also got another spatula and frying pan. The 'new' frying pan also had scratched coating, so I ended up just buying a new one in the supermarket Life (the best Life is the one north-west of the apartment, 15 min walk).There is no room cleaning, but the apartment has a washing machine, and you can hang your clothes out to dry on the little balcony behind the bedroom.We stayed for 3 weeks and the upstairs neighbour was noisy every night around midnight, but besides that we didn't really notice the neighbours very much.All in all we had a good stay.

Lovely place with everything you need and the area is just the cutest. Authentic restaurants and so chilled!

A really beautiful apartment to stayed! Feels like home whenever going back from hang out the apartment is so clean & tidy and the interior is so minimalist! Pls keep staying tidy and clean and huge!!! 🫶🏻🤍❤️
