“The 200-year-old farmhouse Miyamoto family” is a historic hot spring inn located in Ogano-cho, Chichibu-gun, Saitama Prefecture. This 200-year-old farmhouse has been renovated and retains its old-world charm while providing modern comfort. Accommodation is limited to 6 groups per day, allowing you to spend a quiet and relaxing time. The inn offers country cuisine that can be enjoyed around an irori hearth, as well as kaiseki cuisine made with fresh local ingredients. In particular, the dishes made with plenty of vegetables grown in their own farm are exquisite. There are also four private baths, including the Goemon bath and the open-air bath, so you can enjoy your private time. The atmosphere of the inn has a nostalgic feel, as if you have traveled back in time, and is a space where you can relax both physically and mentally. In particular, since Kenbu, a former makuuchi sumo wrestler, is the head of the restaurant, you can feel the unique ideas of a sumo wrestler everywhere. For example, unique services such as sumo wrestler yukata and special chanko nabe are attractive.``Miyamotoya'' is located in the Chichibu area, which is a popular tourist destination, and you can enjoy the scenery of each season in a rich natural environment. It has good access and is convenient to visit by car. There is also a parking lot available, so you can use it with peace of mind.

If you're looking for an authentic Japanese countryside experience just a few hours from Tokyo, Farmers Mansion Miyamoto House (二百年の農家屋敷 宮本家) is an absolute must-visit. I recently stayed here for two nights, and it was an unforgettable experience. The meals were a highlight, with breakfast and dinner served in a sumo style using fresh, local produce. The flavors were rich and hearty, making each meal a delightful experience. Before dinner, the ryokan offers an impressive selection of over 100 sake varieties, all complimentary—a perfect way to start the evening.Exploring the surrounding area by foot was another treat; we visited a local soba restaurant for lunch, wandered through the nearby farms, and truly soaked in the serene rural atmosphere. One of the standout features of this place is the three private hot spring baths available to guests. One bath is particularly unique—very hot and powered by a real fire, providing an authentic and intense onsen experience. Some rooms even come with their own private baths, adding to the luxury and relaxation. The ryokan provided bathrobes and traditional yukata, perfect for memorable photos and enhancing the cultural experience. The service was exceptional, truly gracious and attentive. During our stay, we had the incredible opportunity to meet Miyamoto Kazuteru, the 12th head of the Miyamoto clan and an ex-professional sumo wrestler. His presence added a special touch to our visit, making it even more memorable. Our room was spacious, featuring separate areas for the bath, toilet, bedroom, and living room, which provided both comfort and privacy.Additionally, the convenience of a free shuttle from the train station is a great perk, but be sure to reserve it in advance.Overall, Farmers Mansion Miyamoto House offers a perfect blend of comfort, tradition, and scenic beauty. Highly recommended for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and immerse themselves in Japan's tranquil countryside.

The private bath was nice, but I think the taste of the food and the service are average. We were staying as a couple, and even when we received homemade sake, they didn't ask for a refill. I was talking to other customers. I've read similar reviews from other people, so it may be a common occurrence.

I used the day trip plan from 14:00 to 22:00.I like the fact that you can get a room with an open-air bath and dinner included, which is the same as staying overnight.

It was a very clean and well-maintained accommodation. The amount of dinner was so large that I couldn't finish it. Home-grown vegetables and homemade dishes are attractive. It's a quiet inn, so it's perfect for a relaxing stay.

I saw a recommendation from a solo girl and was interested, so I invited a friend.I took the Laview to Seibu Chichibu Station and got there in no time. After a little sightseeing, the hotel's bus came to pick us up.It's quite far from the station. When we arrived, it was very clean and had a nice historical feel. There is a brewery bar where you can have an aperitif before your meal. The room I was interested in was a retirement room. The room was very spacious, and Hakuho said he had stayed there before. The restroom was spacious, as it was meant to be used by sumo wrestlers. All the baths in the inn are private baths, and two of them look like hot springs. There is also a ring bath in the annex, which is great for bath lovers. The amount of food is huge. It was delicious, but it was so large that I couldn't finish it all. Breakfast is also satisfying.I really liked it. I hope I can go again.

I was able to have a relaxing time. Hot springs that are good for your skin. A complicated dish. Although they were not extravagant, they were items that made good use of the materials. Discreet customer service. The response from the head of the family in the morning.Celebrating my husband's retirement next month. Our regular hostel was occupied, so we decided to stay here, and it was the right choice. However, our place has stairs and an outside road. I'm glad it wasn't raining.
