A retro inn with a taste and history. The hot springs were damaged by an earthquake 13 years ago, and the color of the hot springs seems to change every day. When I went there, it was milky white.I was also satisfied with the food. A wide variety of products in small quantities, perfect for drinking beer. The customer service is kind and I'm thinking about repeat business.

I stayed with a one-year-old child, so this review is from the perspective of traveling with a child.The parking lot is approximately 20m from the building.The frontage of the parking lot is narrow, so be careful if you are driving a minivan or sedan.The hotel is right in front of you from the parking lot, but you have to cross the road, so if you are bringing children, please make sure they don't run out.The road surface is a little uneven, so it's better to use a baby carrier rather than a stroller.In the guest room, there were pots and ornaments in the alcove that could be broken if a child touched them, but the waitress took care to remove them.Since the shoji paper was paper instead of plastic, I was worried that my child would punch holes in it, but this time it was okay.The meal venue was a hall.Children's chairs and cribs can be used, but children's chairs do not have belts.Since my child is in the weaning period, I brought baby food with me, but they also provided rice, miso soup, and water for the child.The building is old, so there are a lot of steps, but since I was traveling with children, they helped me carry my luggage up to the room.

I went at the end of January. The appearance and atmosphere of the building is old, but elegant and tasteful. The large public bath didn't really feel like a hot spring, but it felt a little cloudy, and I preferred the room bath because it had a stronger sulfur content and felt like I was soaking in a hot spring. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations for the food, but it was even better than I expected. I was able to stay there with various limited-time coupons, so I felt it was more than worth the price. I was concerned that the hallways were cold and the water was cold, making it difficult to go to the public bath, and looking at other people's reviews, it doesn't seem like the food menu has changed much, so maybe I don't want to go every year. That's what I was concerned about.

I went on a family trip for 2 days and 1 night during the New Year holidays. Although the building is old, the rooms were well-maintained.There are only indoor baths for both men and women, but the cloudy hot springs will warm you to the core of your body. The meals were huge for both breakfast and dinner, but they were delicious as they were mostly fish. (We recommend staying hungry.)I was with a child aged 0 and 6, and everyone at the front desk and Mr. Nakai treated me kindly. I couldn't hear the voices in the rooms above, below, left, or right, so I don't think the children's voices resonated much.Speaking of ``accommodations in Iwaki,'' there is Spa Resort Hawaiians nearby, but for those who want a quieter and more relaxing stay, we recommend Shohakukan.

The temperature of the hot water is about 40-42 degrees. I felt that the area where the hot water was poured was a little hot, and the area where it flowed out was a little lukewarm.The depth is just right. So deep that when you sit down, you can soak up to your shoulders.It is large enough that you can stretch out your arms and legs without any problem.
