I would've given 5 stars if I'd known the few steps up to access the villa mentioned by other guests was about 40+ steps up a 1.5-2 storey climb which involved me lugging up a heavy suitcase as a foreigner traveling through Japan with an injured back.Otherwise it's a very nice villa with 2 toilets and a shower with an indoor tub and outdoor pool with open separate tap access to the mineral water for a hot soak for both. Will definitely recommend but be aware of the climb if you have alot of (heavy) baggage.

It had been renovated and was clean, and I was really happy that it had all the tableware and coffee beans and an electric mill. There was a dining table and a sofa for relaxing and chatting, and I was very satisfied with the fact that I could bathe in hot spring water! There is also floor heating, so you won't feel the cold, which was great! There are stairs, so it was difficult to carry my luggage up there, and I wish there had been a humidifier.
