I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the island. There is a sandy beach in front of the guesthouse, and the waves are calm, so even small children can play safely. There were no people there and it felt like a private beach. There were small fish and octopuses swimming around, and I think it would have been more fun if I had brought a snorkel and a float.I had Western food for dinner. The Italian food prepared by a former hotel chef was exquisite, and I couldn't believe it was the quality served at a guesthouse. The pizza, marinated fish, and aqua pazza were very delicious. The room was a Japanese-style room with 6-8 tatami mats, plenty of space, and the bath was a normal bathtub, but there were no hygiene issues. The customer service was very courteous, and we were able to quickly request additional futons for our children.Compared to tourist destinations such as Okinawa and Amami Oshima, it is somewhat inconvenient and there are not as many places to see, but it does have calm waters, spectacular views of the Yatsushiro Sea, and untouched nature. It was a really wonderful memory.I would like to visit again if I have a chance.Only one. There are several restaurants on Shishijima, but you cannot eat there unless you make a reservation in advance, so we recommend having lunch in Nagashima Town or Minamata before going. (There is no other choice but to buy a bento at Shishijimaya on one side of the port.)

I called to make a reservation, but are you at work? When I answered that it wasn't work, I said that they only take people who stay overnight for work...I was a rude person who didn't know the language even though I work in the service industry. This is what the islanders look like when I was touring remote islands. I'll never go again
