Mutiara Guuesthouse ResortIt has taken us at least 15 years to write a review, mainly because of selfishness to keep our little hideout our hidden Mutiara (pearl).And how we have witnessed the growth and progress of Mutiara since.The River houses with their en suite bathroom provides a luxurious convenience to our daily needs without having to step outside like we used to, back in the days.Sure the water is not heated but who needs one when it refreshes your body and mind in the island heat.The atap-roofed huts are breathable so no air-con required. Let the breeze & fan circulate the island air.Our top 3 picks from The Warung would be Rendang, Fish & Chips and Ikan Bakar Daba-Daba.Firewood pizza is a great try & yes, the crepe with fresh shredded coconuts, sweet banana, a dash of cinnamon with a squeeze of lime becomes a fine breakfast/dessert.It may be a 3 star hotel resort but the service is a 5 star.Be ready to be spoilt by having breakfast & meals served wherever you feel like, on the beach or at your hut.Share your concerns should you have & be assured that your request be accommodated to the best of their ability.If you love nature and appreciate co-existing with insects here & there, just ensure you cover up & lotioned up with Autan, especially at the beach.Come to free your mind, for doing nothing but be. Inhale the sea breeze, watch the clouds float by, the coconut trees dance, the birds sing, the squirrels play and you may end up with a private & tranquil pocket of time for yourself.And oh, don't forget the sunrise view just out of your hut on the beach.Experience the Aroma Spa where the river flows beneath you as your body relaxes to the soothing sound of flowing water and the soundtrack of nature.And if you take a walk outside the resort, you will find a quiet little village where life goes by as slow as it should be.Cheers.

We stayed there for two days. The area is huge and well spread.The rooms were actually huts with backyard toilet setting (covered by curtain only) they used to clean everyday but there are so many insects. The last cottage 17 was given to us which is quite secluded nobody should stay there alone. I shifted from 17 to 16 and asked my brother's family to stay there.The beach is calm, quiet and beautiful. Its a private beach and they make an arrangement for your special occasions.I did not like the food on the first day but i got used to the second day. If is avarage but reasonably priced. You can eat those food unlike many other places but then i have indian tastebuds.I did not like the massages at all. They dont understand English much so it was a bit of a letdown.All in all if you want to spend 2 or 3 days amidst the nature this can be your ideal stay.

I had a wonderful stay in this hotel. The beach is beautiful especially at sunrise. The staff was really kind and was always smiling.The food is good (and not expensive) and they bring it to you wherever you are in the hotel.They also rake the beach every day to keep it clean.Finally, the rustic bungalows were full of character.

Mutiara Beach Resort is a hidden gem offering a perfect blend of serenity and rustic comfort. The private white sand beach, surrounded by a lush coconut grove, creates a picturesque escape. The river spa, which you can get to by sampan, was such a treat. Even better because the treatments were such good value for money.The individual huts provide comfortable accommodation. My favourite part was the hammock that you can hook up on your deck. Napping to nature's lullaby and waking up to the gentle rustle of leaves is an experience in itself.The menu provided ample variety. With Indonesian Nasi Goreng, fresh fish and wood fired pizza. What more could a girl ask for?I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. 3 days wasn't long enough. I'll be back for a week the next time.

I like this place If you're planning to visit please take the torchlight and mosquito repellent. They will also provide but if you have kids repellent is a must. Food really expensive in the resort but the taste is good. Also go out and enjoy the local foods. Don't miss hotel 89!

The land is very well cared for, they rake the beach, remove old coconuts from trees and trim all the bushes and trees. The breakfast crepes are nice, the indonesian food here is not spicy at all. If you want proper indonesian food, there is a really good warung across the street, a few dozen meters south of the resort. My favorite part about this place is at night all you can hear is the sound of the waves at the beach.
