We stayed one night after our hike at this establishment. The room was very simple, but efficient. On the other hand, we were very disappointed by the dinner, the dishes of which were particular and without real flavors. It's a shame.

This was, hands down, the best stay we have had in Japan. The host was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, the room was clean and comfortable, and the food was great. We pre-ordered dinner for our stay and also ate breakfast, both of which were delivered to our rooms at set times, making planning easy. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

On the way to Kountori from Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine, there are almost no restaurants nearby. Remember to order a meal before checking in, or buy your own dinner/supplies for the next day. There are a total of 4 rooms in the B&B. All rooms have toilets and bathrooms (with bathtubs). Breakfast is included every night. The operator's service is good. Overall, it is a B&B with a high CP value.

Highly recommend this guesthouse. The owner was friendly and super helpful with travel advice to local (and not so local) places. It's a 5-10 minute walk away from the centre, but there's a bus stop just 2 minutes away as well as a nice cafe and other restaurants on the walk into the center.Breakfast was Western style with an Eastern twist, different each morning and delicious every time.

Easily the best place i stayed on my entire kumano kodo journey. Two words to sum it up: convenience and comfort. There is an attention paid to all the details here. After arriving from a long, wet day of hiking there is a shoe-drying box with a heater waiting by the front door. Wet gear and bag? No problem, already a mat waiting in your room so as not to wet the tatami. All of the instructions are in both japanese and english, and for that matter, everything has easy use instructions. Clothes washer and dryer both available, wash for free and dryer for 300 yen. Free green tea and hot water dispenser in the room.Only slight inconvenience is that you have to set your own futon which may be unfamiliar to foreigners. That being said, it was easy to do, and I’m sure they’d help if you needed it.Much more i could say, but ill leave it at that. Thanks so much for the much needed rest and relaxation.

It's clean and very comfortable. Bath and toilet are in the room. It's quiet and nice because there aren't many rooms. Both the lunch box dinner and breakfast were delicious.

A bit off the Kumano Path but it's a small town so still easily walkable to the trail and quiet.Rooms are very nice, common area is a bit small and kitchen is in an awkward location but well equipped.I'd personally skip the deluxe bento for either the standard or cook your own food. It's mostly just pre-made stuffThat said, the breakfast is absolutely incredible homemade and a must have.Host is nice and polite with near perfect english.
