I went during the off-season. The room, facilities, and appearance were beautiful. Regarding customer service, although there were some areas that were lacking, I was generally satisfied. As for the cooking, we had them make elaborate dishes! However, if you go to this hotel in the off-season, there are no shops open around it [the steamed bun shop was empty], so if you want alcohol or snacks, we recommend buying some before going.I think a perfect score is good for the overall evaluation (^-^)

The hotel is well maintained and particularly the room offered is spacious and clean. The staff's service is very good and do their best to offer their help for our needs and queries. Our stay is truly memorable and the best among the many hotels we stayed during our 9-days holiday in Japan. We look forward to our next visit here again

My partner and I stayed for 1 week at the Address Akakura at the end of the snow season. We were so grateful for the amazing hospitality shown to us by the owner John, he really went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Great location close to restaurants, shops and the slopes. We will be back!!

Excellent choice for a ski holiday. Very well located for the slopes and town with big, nice rooms and a very good onsen. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee is Melbourne quality. The team were very friendly and helpful and communication was no problem.

We only stayed 1 night here (our first time at Akakura Onsen) but can’t wait to come back! John was so prompt and helpful with communications before our arrival, answering all our questions and organising early check in and late check out for us. When we arrived, all the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are large, beds really comfortable and baths enormous! We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely return.

A great place to stay. Very close to the ski lifts, equipment rental and restaurants. There is a convenience store directly across the street. They provided free and easy transfer from Myokokogen train station. We just emailed them our arrival time a few hours beforehand. Rooms are beautiful, modern, great bathrooms, wifi. There is a new kitchenette but we ate out every day. During our stay, Jon (the owner) was super attentive and even drove my wife and son to the local clinic when our son was not feeling well. On the day of departure, they even drove us to the local 7-11 to drop our luggage off to be transported “hands free” using Yamato for deliver to our hotel in Tokyo. The separate male/female onsens are lovely and relaxing. The free washer/dryer area was used a lot by our family. We will be returning.

The Address Akakura is the perfect home base to explore this beautiful area of Nagano. Rooms are large and beautifully appointed with comfortable beds in a quiet setting. The hotel features an onsen, restaurant and cafe that serves delicious food as well. What makes this hotel special is the incredible hospitality we were shown from the moment we entered the door. We felt like family during our entire stay and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I would give The Address Akakura my highest recommendation and we hope to return soon.

Kate Ricky and the other staffs are very welcoming and they always put themselves in the guests' shoes.Especially the staff who dropped us off to the station today. Thank you again for helping my daughter find her boots and helping us catch the train, we appreciate it! I have to say, your driving skill and eyes are first class(^^)——————————————————————The Address Akakura has always been our hotel of choice around Akakura&Arai area.Wonderful rooms, very spacious, warm and comfortable.Beautiful facilities, the design is well thought through.Fantastic hosts, Kate and Ricky were amazing and took care of all our needs expertly! The staff was nice and friendly too. They did everything possible to make sure our family was comfortable.Excellent restaurant,delicious and fresh foods,I already miss Kate's homemade coffee.Thank you so much!! Family vacation with two older kids in Jan 2023 and a bit nervous as it was first time in Myoko. Met with Kate and Ricky's smiling face at the myokokogen train station when coming up from Tokyo and immediately made to feel at ease and at home woth their easy going manner and great tips on local places to eat and ski/snowboard.The Address Akakura is a western style hotel and we enjoyed the two bedroom apartment. Beds were large and easily fit tall people, extremely comfortable and the softest sheets ever! Each room had air conditioning that you had full control over as well as a small kitchen including toaster, rice cooker, microwave and pots/pans. If you don't feel like cooking then the Samurai Restaurant/Cafe has great food with fresh local ingredients, imported organic pastas, coeliac friendly foods and a great steak sandwich.We had some stellar cocktails invented in-house by cocktail extraordinaire Ben and Ricky and The Hanzo with its dash of spice rum and dry sake hit the spot.The accommodation is along one of the main roads and only 30m from the AkakuraOnsen chair lift as well as a bunch of ski/ snowboard hire shops along the road. Any place you need to get to such as Akakura Kanko (1km down the road), Suginohara and Ikenotairo slopes the team at The Address Akakura are happy to drop and pick you up.Great team and comfortable accommdation made it an awesome holiday.
