Had a fantastic experience at the Prince Sakura. It was a great place for my first time in Japan. It was clean, comfortable and the staff were welcoming and friendly. I loved the comfortable beds and spacious rooms. The breakfast was great with plenty of options and clearly labeled vegan and vegetarian dishes. I also enjoyed walking in the Japanese garden in the mornings and evenings. They have addressed some key sustainability measures like plastic reduction efforts, energy and water saving, and plant-based foods. Would be great to see them take this to the next level and continue to cut plastic and offer more clarity on their efforts.

Fantastic service, fantastic room, fantastic location. Special accolades to the front desk, who booked me in a wonderful room when there was an issue with my reservation through Marriott! I was unable to dine at the on-site restaurants, but they looked and smelled wonderful as I passed them. There’s also a beautiful garden, visible through the windows of the elevator and lobby, which I hope to have time to explore one day. While it is walkable from Shinagawa (7-10mins) I do recommend at least taking a taxi from the station to the hotel if you have luggage, as it is partially uphill. There was a slight issue getting a taxi to take me back to the station due to construction (Oct 2024) which I found strange since there were taxis picking people up at the entrance I was going to in the direction I needed, but it wasn’t a bad walk. I’m not sure if I would recommend this location for folks looking to frequent downtown Tokyo since it’s a bit far out, but its proximity to Shinagawa and the airport train line is fantastic.

Very convenient location near Shinegawa station. Very courteous and friendly staff. The hotel is a beautiful property with very nice big and clean rooms. The breakfast buffet is limited in terms of the number of items for the price of the breakfast. I would do breakfast elsewhere in hindsight but overall I enjoyed my stay.

Everything was good 👍Except when checking out, Takeuchi-san was quite rude. Needs better training.
