The exterior looked old, but it was well-maintained. There was a bathtub on the balcony, but I didn't use it because it was cold and it wasn't a hot spring. The view was good and I was able to smoke, so I was satisfied with the room. However, the dinner was not good... The portion was large, but I would say the taste was average. All the employees seemed to be well-educated, making me realize that this is a hotel used by the imperial family.

We stayed here to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The rooms had open-air baths, and the rooms were spacious and had indoor baths as well. We had dinner in a large private room. I was very satisfied with the large number of items. Since I had written down my birthday wishes in the notes section, my daughter was very happy to receive a surprise birthday plate with fruit and a small cake. I thought it was a really considerate accommodation. Because of the rain, I couldn't look at the starry sky or go out on the deck, but I think it was a good trip. The inn was an old building, but I was able to spend a comfortable time there.

We stayed in a room with a hot spring in Bettei Himegami for two nights and used it as a base for Hachimantai trekking. When I arrived, I noticed in the parking lot that there were only cars with local license plates, and very few rental cars with Japanese license plates or out-of-prefecture license plates. Although it is a tourist destination, it is an inn that is loved by the locals. The hot water has a nice sulfur scent that isn't too strong. The quality of the springs is such that locals come here for day trips to take a bath.Dinner was served in the room. All the dishes are delicious. In particular, the meat dishes, both pork and beef, are delicious and will leave you speechless. I learned from the staff that the restaurant is run by a butcher shop, and the deliciousness makes sense. Furthermore, the sake that goes well with meat dishes is also original to the inn, and the Junmai Ginjo Makoto is an exquisite pairing. It will further enhance the taste of meat dishes. The amount of food was so generous that I was full. All of the staff are friendly and attentive. I had a great time. It's an inn you'll want to visit again in different seasons. Thank you for your help.

Open-air bath that changes depending on the dayYou can see Mt. Iwate from 🏔️The outdoor bath has a sulfur smell, but the indoor bath has no odor.Previously, the indoor bath also had a sulfur scent, but maybe the water is just boiling water❔It's a shame if that's the case
