Sunday, March 24, 2024At the Hagi Civic Center, I was moved by the wonderful songs and performances by the Tokyo Popular Song Orchestra, and when I tried to return to the hotel, I got lost on the way (lol)It's raining lightly and it's cold (゚∀゚)Is there a coffee shop somewhere? I didn't even think about it. (´;Д;`)As I was walking, I casually looked to my right and saw the small letters cafe between the glass windows❗️When I nervously opened the sliding glass door, there was a large table in the center.Cafe time from 4pm ❗️I was lucky🤞🤞,,, it's almost 4:30 (^-^)A very kind-looking man came and spoke to me❗️A foreigner is talking to the male staff❗️If you ask me, it seems that this Ruco has a hotel on the 3rd and 4th floors (^ω^)It seems that most of the guests are foreigners. ,,, I had a fun conversation with the master 😁😁Another Japanese person, a woman, has been here for two weeks to help. Are you a student? ️,,, you are young (o^^o)She was a wonderful woman with a gentle way of speaking ☺️☺️The glass cup that was served first before the coffee (^ ^)Surprisingly, there was hot water in it! ️,,, I'm impressed (o^^o)It looks like it's going to rain, so I'm sure you're trying not to get cold❗️❓This is the first time in my life that my first drink of water was hot water! ️It was cold and 🤏tired, so I was very grateful for the hot water 😁😁The decaf coffee I received was soft and delicious😋😋😋While I was drinking coffee, some of the guests, I think, came in.A woman from Scandinavia who does cultural work at the prefectural office of a certain prefecture and a Japanese person helping out are having a friendly conversation.😊😊😊I was surprised that you came from Finland, where I traveled last September, even though it was a coincidence! ️I entered the store casually, but I had a wonderful time! ️Thank you to everyone I met at luco ❗️Thank you very much☺️☺️☺️

Thank you for staying with us on a weekday after Golden Week. The entire building, including the cafe on the first floor, felt like one living space, and although it was a short time, it felt very cozy and comfortable. thank you very much. The townscape of Hagi is surprisingly compact if you use a bicycle, and if you go around Hagi Castle Ruins and Horiuchi, you can see the era of Mori Terumoto, the founder of the Choshu domain, and if you go around the castle town, Meirinkan, Shoin Shrine, and Matsushita Village School, you can go back to the end of the Edo period to the Meiji era. You can think back to the turbulent times leading up to the Meiji Restoration.I recommend spending 2 nights (I only stayed 1 night) in a renovated guest house like Ruco's and relaxing!

What a lovely place to stay, hang out and relax in Hagi. A big thank you to Yuki-san for being our hospitable host and master coffee maker. We loved the unique decor, the comfortable tatami room, and all the beautiful options for shared space to be with others or not. The kitchen, showers and toilet area were very clean. Close to the bus station and a short cab ride to Hagashi Hagi Train Station made it convenient for arrival and departure with our luggage and bags of hagiyaki. Breakfast was simple, but full of flavor and did I mention, the great coffee? There are a few restaurants close by and a delightful traditional sweet shop on the corner as you walk to the bus station. Highly recommend this place to stay and explore this beautiful area.

This was a hasty decision as there were not many accommodations. The appearance is so-so.The interior is not flashy, but a lot of effort has been put into every nook and cranny. Clean and well-organized, unique to JapanIt feels good. I stayed in a double room on the 4th floor, but there are stairs. There is also a shared room in the form of a bunk bed. The double room is a tatami room and there is no room other than a small table. Even though it is mid-March, the sea breeze and the cold air on the windows are bitter in the evenings, so be careful. There is a toilet, shower room, and shared kitchen on the third floor, so simple cooking is possible. The first floor also serves as a cafe, so you can enjoy simple drinks, and the owner is friendly and willing to help.I think I can recommend it to young people without hesitation.

There is a commercial supermarket next to it, with cheap wine, fruits and snacks. The interior decoration of the hotel is also very tasteful and the staff is very friendly.I like the small balcony on the second floor where you can see the street view
