I loved it! Stayed here solo for 8 days on vacation and zero complaints.Room: Set your expectations - most Tokyo hotels are small unless you're going to a larger hotel chain. Note that the room is best designed for one person - two max but it'll be a little snug. Despite the size, room is well-maintained and clean. Loved the bathroom.Location: Perfect for my preference. I didn't want anything in the thick of the city center (Shibuya, Ginza, etc), but I wanted it to easily access it. Hotel is 2-4 min walk from the Kamata station, which can easily access multiple train lines. Surroundings had interesting establishments, very near a university, and the longer you walk around it starts to be more suburban.Amenities: No restaurant (i.e. no breakfast) or food at all. But since I wanted to spend my meals out anyway, this wasn't a big deal for me. There's a sauna/public bath that I didn't use, but people said it's nice. Hotel staff was kind and helpful, and they have free stuff you can get from the lobby like extra toiletries and pajamas.Staff: Helpful, friendly, and no fuss.

They have their own modest public bath space which is great for relaxing in a nice hot tub.No breakfast, food, or group gathering spaces.Convenient location within 30 minutes of Yokohama and Akihabara.Access to 2 train lines which will take you to the major spots of Tokyo or more small-town locales if you use the Ikegami Lne.

It is close to JR Kamata Station, less than 3 minutes' walk, and has convenient transportation. It is a Kuroyu hot spring. On weekdays, 5 hours of bathing + meals for 1100 dan + drinks for 600 dan total only cost 3,230 dan. It is quite a value. But if you want to stay overnight, you will For extra money, there is a hotel upstairs where you can stay in the hot spring for free.

It's close enough to the station that even if it rains, you can arrive at the hotel without getting too wet. I was impressed by the excellent service at the front desk. The baths are crowded around 10pm, so it's best to avoid them. The inside of the building was clean. The room is naturally small, but considering the other features, I would like to stay again.

As soon as I entered the room, the room smelled like a rabbit hutch. Also, the comforter was damp.

Good hotel in close proximity to Kamata train station. Rooms clean and according to Japanese standards.Staff courteous and friendly. There is a public onsen and dryer and washing machine.Free Wi-Fi. The restaurant is closed so no breakfast options. There are many shops and restaurants/bars in Kamata. You can have a French breakfast at the train station. You can easily travel to Haneda Airport and other parts of the city by train, which comes at short intervals.
