When I arrived at the roadside station, I decided to take a look around, but even though it was a sunny day in the middle of a three-day weekend in October, there was no one there. The Autosite plots are very small and unmanaged, the grass is sloppy (about 20cm high), and each plot is surrounded by trees, and on the river side, the trees are so thick that you can't see anything, and on the other side are the neighboring houses. There are many man-made objects such as electric wires, so the scenery is not good, and although there is a roadside station nearby, there are only vending machines and the only place to shop is the Yamazaki shop attached to the hot spring facility next to it, so honestly I think it is difficult. However, since it is a campground where there are not many people, I think it is good for those who want to have a place to sleep in a quiet place, or those who just want to camp to eat.By the way, it seems that there will be vipers.

You can park your bike next to it and pitch a tent on the flat grass, but it's not very spacious, so there may only be a few groups. The reception is at a hot spring facility a little far away.Garbage can also be thrown away ◎Also, the toilet was quite difficult for me as I don't like insects. Anyway, there are a lot of moths and spiders. There was no door to the toilet, so bugs could get into the private room, and there were pieces of spider-like pieces stuck to the toilet paper, so I felt that the cleaning was not done very carefully. Good thing I brought a fly swatter...I turned on the light in the kitchen only when I was using it, so there weren't many insects.

I reserved a bungalow for rafting.Currently, there are only 4 bungalows (¥8,800-) and a free site campsite. Is there a bunk bed and a 4 tatami table in the bungalow? There is a kotatsu. I was surprised that there was an air conditioner and a TV📺! ️There is also a washroom on the terrace. You will need a table and chairs to eat on the terrace while looking at the Kitayama River. It's convenient to keep your sandals instead of having to move your shoes out of the shoe box each time you go out on the terrace! ︎A kitchen and toilets are also nearby. As I was told at the reception, the lights in the toilet attract insects and there are a lot of them 😅The auto site has a hidden hedge and power supply 🔌 I would like to see it reopened.

I went camping a few years ago and found a site near the entrance of a suspension bridge. (It was really impressive to see a minicar crossing the suspension bridge.) It's an isolated area in Wakayama Prefecture, which is rare even in Japan, but it's far from Osaka.

On New Year's Eve, local young people gather in the bungalows and it's very noisy. What's more, drunk people were picking up other people in their cars until late at night... It may have continued until dawn if it got worse, but we, who were staying in a tent, were so noisy that we couldn't sleep properly. I didn't.*Revisited in 2020Due to the change in management, the camping fee has almost doubled, but the cleaning of the grounds, including mowing the grass and the restrooms, has become inadequate.

4 or 5 years ago, the manager changed to a man, which made me very disappointed, so I haven't been going much there, but this is the first time in 3 years that I've been back for a family camp. I was surprised to see what looked like a large architectural office built in the tennis court that used to be there.I can no longer use the tennis court. Now there is no auto site, only free site.Although it is a free site, the area where you can pitch your tent is well maintained. However, there were a lot of ants, and this time there were a lot of horseflies (although there weren't any before). Frogs are noisy at night (this has always been the case).Perhaps because of the difference in temperature, even in summer, when I woke up in the morning, the inside of my tent was drenched in night dew. Family camping since we are out at 10am.The big tent I used for the day doesn't dry out. Free site fee is 4,400 yen for a family of 3 + tent (tent 1100 yen + 1100 yen x number of people)! It's double what it was a few years ago.

The roads are narrow in some places, making it difficult to get there, but the river water is clean and I think it's a great place for rafting.
