I think it's a good accommodation. I was told by the staff that the price might go up in the future, so I'm glad I was able to stay at Monzen-juku at this time. Before I forget anything, I would like to write down the points that were personally inconvenient for me.The room I stayed in was at the end of the second floor of the east building (furthest from the hotel reception on the west side), but the Wi-Fi connection was interrupted intermittently, making it practically unusable. I couldn't. It's true that it's a mechanical problem, so the front desk person's response was, "We can't do anything about it, including moving the room."On the other hand, in the same east building (the east building is a separate building across the road from the building on the west side), I was able to connect normally on the first floor and in a hallway that was a little far from the room, so I thought that many other rooms were properly connected. (Of course, I don't know the actual connection environment in other rooms). The front desk staff is certainly correct in saying that ``Wi-Fi is just a service, and even if there is a room where the connection does not work, it would be difficult for the hotel to deal with that.'' Yes, that's true, but since there are some customers who can connect without any problems, I don't think it's a problem to say that there are rooms that can't connect (though this is just my personal opinion). I don't think it's strange that there are customers who feel unfair like this (probably it would be solved if there was one more distributor, but hotels have their own circumstances, so I don't think it's surprising) I understand)Netflix and YouTube on the TV in the room were connected without any interruptions, so I guess it was just a wireless distribution problem, but I was told that the communication company was also doing maintenance from time to time. There was no interruption of Wi-Fi in the dining hall or front lobby of the building on the west side, so you don't even need to worry about it when staying on the west side. However, in any case, it is true that there are rooms where Wi-Fi does not connect well at the moment. I'm sure there are some people who desperately want a Wi-Fi environment for work (or not), so I'd like to make a simple "memorandum" so that no one will have trouble in the future (although it may be a trivial matter). Leave a note as above.Other than the above, the dinner was also very delicious, and overall I think it was a wonderful stay experience. Thank you very much for this time.

First use in November 2023It was a very good accommodation experience at that time, so I visited again in May 2024 for my birthday trip. This time we had a room in the east building, which was different from last time. The first room I stayed in in the west building had a separate bathroom and was clean, but the room in the east building this time had a water system like a business hotel. As soon as I entered the room, the windows were closed, the air conditioning was off, and I was drenched in sweat! We recommend that you reserve the West WingBy the time the air conditioning in the room was working, the lobby last morning was crowded with people on the Horyuji tour, so this time I tried to buy some souvenirs while the front desk was empty. However, it takes a lot of time to settle the account.I thought it would irritate the staff to just stand around and wait, so I asked them if they could give me an extension so I could go back to my room, or if they could come with me when I check out, but they said no, please make the payment now, so I still had to wait. .Apparently, they don't know if the Buddha statue souvenir they want is in stock. If that was the case, I told them again that I would do it later, but to no avail, they cut my card first. I'm already feeling anxious. However, the female staff member who had been leisurely walking in a grumpy mood to check on the inventory came back and said that the item was out of stock and that she would process the refund. As expected, I was stunned.Waiting for a long time, paying, and then being told that the order would be canceled again, so please take out the Moppen card and return the other souvenirs is a very poor response. Are you taking credit card payments too easily? We complained, but they seemed to think we were grumbling about the fact that they didn't have it in stock, as if there was nothing they could do about it. I'm not saying whether it's in stock or not...I felt like the dinner last time was more luxurious, so I wasn't particularly impressed this time. It may also be due to your preferences in ingredients. The quantity is sufficient and there is a wide variety of alcoholic beverages.I had the same special Yamato Kaiseki meal, but it may depend on the time of year.(Photos of the appetizers, the first one is the first time, the second one is this time)There are no convenience stores nearby, so the refrigerator never cools the mineral water in the room, and the vending machines in the building are sold out and the change lamp is out.I didn't want to go to the front desk in the west building in the middle of the night to exchange money.Morning came early and I wanted to go home. All I could think about was the dirt on the shoji screens and the counter, which was completely visible from the aisle. The guided tours and the hospitality of the restaurant staff are very good.I won't be visiting again, but overall, including the first time last year...it's a star.

I live in Canada and used it when I returned to Japan temporarily. ||This is an inn that answered the difficult question of ``a one-night, half-board inn where you can stay for around ¥15,000 per person.'' …
