Although it feels like it has been built for many years, it was nice that there was a large public bath.Since I stayed for two consecutive nights, I decided on a plan that didn't require cleaning. Of course there was no cleaning, and there was a charge for changing amenities and towels. It would have been nice if the towels could be changed for free since they are used in the public bath. There was a sauna in the public bath and a mat to put on your butt. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were provided, as well as lotion and emulsion, which was nice. However, I had to go to the bathhouse by 10pm at night, so I thought it would be a good idea to stay in a little later.Parking was 500 yen for 1 stay even for 2 nights.

I booked a non-smoking room through Agoda, but the moment I opened the room, the smell of cigarettes was so strong that it was difficult to enter the room.So I asked to change the room, but there was no room of the same class, so I recommended upgrading to a higher level. Agoda's difference was 8,000 yen, but the staff asked for 38,780 yen.It was the evening of the same day, so no changes were made, and there were no vacancies in nearby hotels, including the Osaka Hotel and even the Kyoto Hotel.I really didn't want to sleep, but I couldn't find another place, so I stayed...Fortunately, I was able to upgrade my room after talking to the staff for over 20 minutes about their mistakes one by one and slowly explaining the contract I had signed. The room itself was in similar condition to my eyes, but fortunately the room had some of the smell removed with an air purifier. However, this room also had an age-old cigarette smell coming from the walls and carpet, so I couldn't sleep well.My family had to wake up at 4 a.m. and take a walk around the hotel, and we were forced to eat as the first guests at 7 a.m.ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡWhen checking out, I asked for more for the breakfast fee I had already paid, and I had to show the contract that I had already paid this part to Agoda and tell them again. Even though I showed them the breakfast voucher I received the day before and checked my passport, they asked for an additional fee, and I received a receipt for paying the extra fee. When I told Agoda I would get a refund if I gave it to them, it was only then that I was told it was a mistake. Most of the guests are Japanese and I understand why there are few foreigners. It was the worst hotel I've ever been to.

The location is good for sightseeing, there is a hot spring, and the accommodation rates are reasonable! The breakfast buffet looks pretty good too!

I should have stayed at JW Marit Nara Hotel. I couldn't do anything fun or leisurely. I think I'll choose Toyoko Inn next time.
