I stayed here on my second day on Kohechi. We stayed at a farmer's house, which is something we don't often get the chance to stay at, and we were treated to a delicious meal. The lunch box was also very delicious. The location is a bit far. I was grateful that my husband dropped me off in the morning. They are a kind-hearted couple.

I cannot say enough how kind and thoughtful the Matsumoto family was! They kindly picked us up after a very tough day. And they had a fabulous meal ready for dinner! We even got a bento that kept me going over TWO days!! Highly recommended!!

Although the B&B is about 3 kilometers away from the Xiaobianlu trailhead, the owner will pick you up and drop you off. The proprietress's cooking skills are great. Dinner and breakfast are very rich and delicious, especially the rice and vegetables are grown at home.We are really grateful to have such accommodation and kimonos in the mountains!

Thank you for taking care of me when I was walking the Kumano Kodo Kohechi route in April 2024.It was the most delicious meal we had while walking along Koheji. You can enjoy two meals made with local ingredients, lots of small side dishes, and beautiful presentation. You can also prepare a lunch box for the next day.The room was spacious and very clean, and I was able to rest my body slowly. It's quite a distance to walk, so it was helpful to have a car to pick us up from the Miuraguchi bus stop. When walking the Kohechi route, there are only two places to stay near the Miura exit, so you'll need to make reservations early.

Thank you for your help while walking along Koheji. Although there was nothing nearby, it was a wonderful inn with delicious food and soothing nature. It was reasonably priced at 9,500 yen, including two meals and a bento box for one night, and the transportation to and from the trailhead was very helpful. The difficulty of walking Kohechi varies greatly depending on whether you can find accommodation in Imoose or not, so if you are planning to walk Kohechi, we recommend making reservations as early as possible.

I stopped by when I was traversing Koheji. As mentioned in the reviews, this is a good farm inn where you can visit Mr. and Mrs. Yamamoto. I was the only Japanese person that day, and the others were from Switzerland and Australia. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we even had a boxed lunch prepared for us. I want to bring my wife with me next time.

Excellent stay if you are hiking the Kumano Kodo. A bit further from the main trail but worth for the quietness and the beautiful location. Owners are super welcoming. Traditional japanese rooms are spacious. Hot showers, towels and heating in room are available. Food is great - vegetarian options included. They will give you a ride to the start of the trail of needed. For reservations, it's possible to call them directly - they only speak Japanese. Thank you!
