The room was great for a Japanese ryokan experience. There is a public bathhouse in the basement, so maybe the team can use it privately! But I only used it for 40 minutes.I went alone and it was fine... I was surprised that the water in the bathroom was so hot, but it was really nice to look at the night view while taking a bath. The lady was kind, and the breakfast was delicious. Maybe because the village has a bit of a vegan feel, the breakfast was all vegan except for the salmon.

My husband and I had an incredible experience here! A cozy ryokan tucked away in the mountains. The view is amazing. The owner is super sweet, speaks English, and made sure we had everything we needed. We also did the “kimono experience” - they have a kimono teacher who helped us choose kimonos and put them on to rent for a few hours. We walked to Hozanji Temple in the kimonos and it was a beautiful, peaceful way to really immerse ourselves in the culture. The daily traditional breakfast was delicious, and they were willing to make a vegan meal for my husband. We loved that it was a bit remote, but still easy to get to Osaka and Nara - take the cable car down the mountain and then trains from Ikoma Station. Highly recommend!

The food is very delicious, but what about the landlady and her daughter? Maybe it's because the two of you are doing it together. The communal toilets, baths, and guest rooms are not kept well-cleaned, and some guests may like or dislike them.
