I made a reservation because the food was delicious, but due to a reservation mistake, I ended up staying without meals for 2 people for ¥61,776.It's a normal inn with rooms and service. I made an additional reservation for breakfast at check-in, but it cost 3,750 yen and the food was not very tasty.

Room was lovely- spacious and traditional Japanese style. Possibly a little dated.Setvice was exceptional- friendly and extremely helpful.Location is ideal for park access, but a bit of a walk from the station to check in with luggage. Taxi recommended if luggage is uncomfortable to bring- it was a bit over ¥1000 to get back to JR Nara station.

Excellent location, staying at 4D3N. The hotel is located next to the downtown area, so there is no need for evening meals.(It’s very tiring including the evening meal... I have to rush back for dinner when the time is up... It’s like a Nara deer)The room type is a large suite with a large terrace (unfortunately, it has been raining and cold for days and I don’t want to go out to sit)Check-in at around 7pm was actually handled by two young handsome guys.I have been to Japan no less than 60 times. I rarely see a super handsome guy who speaks English and Japanese fluently. Is he Japanese...?

I stayed with my family. In one word, it was great!I made a big mistake when making the reservation. When I called or visited them, they responded very kindly and I had the best holiday ever. The staff was very pleasant, the baths had both a large public bath and an open-air bath. The breakfast was delicious and I would like to stay here again when I go to Nara again.

What a fantastic place to stay. It is quiet and pretty, with a fantastic staff. I stayed two nights with my wife and 4yo daughter. We liked the big breakfast. I used the outdoor bath which was nice too. Their TV has video about the bath etiquette if you are not familiar. If we go back to Nara I would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at this ryokan. It is well located to visit Nara. The room was very simple but this is part of the experience, and the staff had installed our futons during diner which was a nice touch. We had the kaiseki diner menu and breakfast included in our package, and it was a very interesting experience but it is not for Occidental people afraid of going out of their comfort zone… The staff was very obliging despite the language barrier. It’s important to note that the pagoda will be under renovation until 2031, we were informed before booking and we appreciated it.The lack of explanation on how things work at the ryokan is a bit problematic, like the dress code, or that the access to the rooftop is subject to a fee but without knowing what is included in this price…

The appearance of a historic inn located in the middle of Nara's tourist attractions.I made a reservation for a Japanese-style room with a rooftop lounge. When I looked it up, it was a Japanese restaurant and inn.We have upgraded our standard kaiseki dinner to a special selection! (plus 3,300 yen per person)We had a great night, exceeding our expectations, with all the meals being delicious and a wide selection of Nara's local sake.It was said a long time ago that there was nothing delicious in Nara, but that's a lie!At the rooftop lounge, you can enjoy beer and wine while looking out at the blue sky as far as the eye can see.I was able to enjoy the quiet flow of time in nature, which I can't experience in Kyoto. You made a reservation for a room with a lounge and you were right! However, it seems that they are not being replenished very often, so I would be happy if this could be improved.A ryokan where you can enjoy seasonal cuisine and enjoy the weather in the lounge. I would definitely like to go there again.

It’s located within short walking distance from Kintetsu Nara station, Kofuku-ji, Nara Park and arcade shops. They offer two types of Onsen public bath, indoor and outdoor. The outdoor one has only two showers and a tiny bath, but it’s nice enough to be in the water.I recommend to use the indoor one first and use the outdoor one later. As they are not in the same space, it’s troublesome to use them at once. I took an indoor bath after I checked in and took the other before going to bed. I also took a both in the morning. So satisfying! The food was amazing! So intricate and delicate. So beautiful to see! Both dinner and breakfast were amazing with great services.I highly recommend staying here!
