Stayed here in a shared room for a few nights during the Nara Tokae festival last year. The staff were very kind, the house was very clean and the location was convenient. I would 100% stay here again.

Located within walking distance of the train station. A house with a few rooms (various types of rooms). It can be noisy! Shared shower and toilets. For an additional fee of 550JPY a western-style breakfast. The owner is very kind and friendly and speaks good English. I definitely recommend this hostel for solo travelers.

My friends and I had a lovely time here. The living room and kitchen are so cozy that I wished we'd stayed another day just to enjoy them. The staff were incredibly friendly and allowed us to leave our luggage for a few hours after check out.

Currently staying and very happy to review. It’s a fabulous hostel. You receive a warm welcome from the host.the hostel 4 bed dorm is large, spacious, the beds are big and cosy and private with good curtains. Small lockers in the room and a open wardrobe to hang coats etc. There is a sink in the room & a massive AC heat pump. In the morning the natural light pours in to wake you naturally. The bathroom & kitchen are clean. The host makes a great tasty filling breakfast set for only ¥500, Soup, toast, egg, and a big cup of delicious coffee. Such good value. There are bikes available for hire and a pop up cafe at the entrance. The hostel itself is set back from the road by a lovely garden and it’s gated off. It feel like home, with a comfortable light bright common room where guests chat to each other. There are plenty of traditional characteristics here with abundant timber sliding doors and flooring.Definitely stay here for a home away from home.

Lovely stay at the cutest Japanese guesthouse. The host is very kind and I'm glad I listened to another reviewer's suggestion of asking for recommendations. The space itself is designed for travelers to unwind with a cozy wood themed lounge space and a beautiful little Japanese courtyard garden. The standard room was HUGE for one person and Japanese standards so highly recommend paying the extra 1000yen or so to upgrade from dorm to room. Absolutely enjoyed my stay, wish I'd spent more of my trip here, and will definitely back with family and friends in tow.

I absolutely loved this place. We came here to attend the burning of the mountain and see the deer park and this place is a gem.The main guy that runs the place speaks amazing english and is super friendly. I loved his rundown of the place as well as his suggestions and directions about the area. You can also rent bikes for 100 yen per hour, capping out at 500 for the day.The place itself had a great kitchen, toilet, shower with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and a shared sleeping soace with bunkbeds that have curtains for privacy. The beds were firm but I personally like beds like that and the blankets were very warm. There is also a heater in the room. The place itself is a walled off private old style Japanese house and it’s very cute and beautiful. I would stay here every time I go to Nara. ❤️❤️❤️
