The inn looks like an old folk house, but the customer service was polite and the hot springs were great.I was disappointed that there was no refrigerator in the room, but I had no problems with bringing my own cooler box.The food was delicious, especially the rice. Mainly Japanese food, and the seasonal wild vegetables were also great.

Is it a family business? An inn with a relaxing atmosphere. The customer service is impeccable. The building looks old but is kept clean. The food isn't anything special, but you can tell that they are making an effort to satisfy you. (Of course it's delicious)Drinks include local sake from Yamagata Prefecture and wine from Kaminoyama City, and you can enjoy them at reasonable prices. There is a plan that includes ramen when you make a reservation, and I highly recommend this. It's okay because it's like this! Delicious ramen will be served. This ramen is irresistible after drinking alcohol. The bath is reserved for private use, so take your time.It seems that the baths have been reserved for private use due to the coronavirus pandemic, but I hope they will continue to offer private baths in the future as it is a perfect system for this small inn.I think the concept of being able to enjoy private baths with family, friends, lovers, etc. will be a strength. The price is reasonable, and I think it's a very cost-effective accommodation overall.Personally, I prefer an inn like this one to a modern, stylish inn or one that emphasizes luxury. It was a wonderful old-fashioned hot spring inn.

A traditional inn run by a family. We like this kind of atmosphere more than a fancy hotel. A pure Japanese style room with a Showa era atmosphere. Since I was staying without meals, it would have been perfect if I had a refrigerator and a microwave. The bath is reserved for private use, so you can use it whenever it is available. Please take a look at the different objects in the men's and women's baths. There is a new public bath right behind it, and you can enter it for 350 yen. I didn't go there because it's probably the same source. There are 5 public baths in this area, and you can discover them as you take a walk. During our walk, we entered the Shimooyu public bath for 150 yen. Kaminoyama Castle, Samurai Residences, and Haru-an are just a few minutes walk away. The town itself is smaller than I expected, so you can walk from every corner. Dinner is also not a problem as there are Chinese and soba restaurants. The landlady, the husband, and the landlady were all kind and helpful.I was worried because there was only one shared toilet on the second floor, but it was never crowded. But the toilet was cold. I want this type of inn to continue forever.

2 nights from 2023/12/12It's within walking distance from the station, but at 16:00.On this day, it was already dark and cold, so it took a 5 minute taxi ride for ¥630.The appearance is better than the photoThere are some parts that are cluttered inside.the room is properly cleanedFor small areas such as transoms and ceilingsThe decorations are wonderful and I don't think they can be made these days.Insulating pot, toothbrush, bath towel, yukata, tanzen (because it's a cold place),I requested a cold water pot. There is no refrigerator (if you leave it outside the window at this time of year, it will burn),No vending machinehair dryer in bathroomNo amenities other than cotton swabsEnjoy your meal in a private roomThe content is written by my grandmother and mother.I felt like I made this for a kid who came home after a long time. There are a lot of items, but I don't think they are local items. As I said, the taste was okay...The futon will be pulled out for you during dinner.Toilets and washrooms are shared (restrooms on the 1st floor are recommended)Hot springs can be reserved for private useBody soap, shampoo, conditionerThe temperature is about 41°C to 42°C, which is just right. On both days, women can come in alone whenever they want and feel comfortable. There was no exchange of bath towels or yukata.Maybe you should request itGuest rooms are on the 2nd floor, bathrooms are on the B1F, and meals are on the 1st floor.Doors opening and closing, footsteps echoing in the hallwayAs it happened, I was the only one on the first night and only one other guy on the second night. Will there be some cramped spaces if the rooms are full?
