I stayed as a disaster relief volunteer. I was planning to stay for 3 days, but decided to extend my stay for a week because it was so comfortable. The room was clean and equipped with everything, and the master was a very nice person and told us lots of interesting stories. There was also a chat room where I was able to meet many different people. The location was about a 15 minute walk from the station, so it was easy to access. Le propriétaire parle très bien français, je vous recommande fortement si vous voulez visiter Sakata et les environs!

Very nice small hotel with 15 rooms. Very nice host, who speaks English as well as French and Italian. He recommended a good restaurant in the city and some sights for the next day.The rooms are well-equipped, large and comfortable. The bathroom is modern, nice and large, in addition to Japanese showers there is also a bathtub. The common area is large and well equipped. It is beautifully decorated with plants, pictures and other things such as: Bookshelves. The reservation/booking is a bit complicated for non-Japanese speakers as the hotel is currently not (yet) found on booking or similar platforms.Check-out by 9:30 a.m. is unusually early, but not a problem. We will definitely stay here again if we come to Sakata again.

About 30 minutes walk from Sakata Station. It's about 10 minutes to the bar district. Go over a light hill. You can go to the market in about 10 minutes towards the port.I was surprised at first because the host was so tough, but he told me about recommended restaurants, made reservations for me, and was incredibly kind, making my trip to Sakata truly the best. The inside of the hotel is clean and spacious. It's like a secret base with its unique interior.I stayed in a bunk bed, which was wider than the bed in a typical guesthouse.Thank you so much!

I stayed there for 4 nights as a volunteer. In the evening, while eating dinner (snacks and sake) that each person had purchased at the dining room, the owners, volunteers, and tourists (including a couple from New Jersey) gathered together to learn about volunteer-related information, other culture, history, the area, etc. The conversation was interesting and fun.The friendly atmosphere is great.

It was raining heavily during my trip, so I had to come here on short notice. The interior seemed to have been renovated and was very clean and had high-tech equipment.I was drenched from the rain, but the female staff helped me dry my shoes and luggage, and helped me get some rest.It was a rainy and gloomy day, but it was a great memory of the trip. I would like to visit you again sometime, thank you very much.

This hotel is a place to call home while you explore the stunning historical city of Sakata. Sato & his staff are friendly, so helpful and they make sure nothing is a problem. Hiyoriyama Park, the historical quarter, supermarkets & convenience stores are just a few minutes bike ride from the hotel. This is Japanese hospitality at its best.
