This is a repeat stay. 👩It's so simple that when I made my first reservation, I received a call from Sokunishi Honya to confirm, ``Is this a simple inn for spa guests, not a fancy inn?''・No amenities such as cosmetics etc.・Only body and shampoo (maybe conditioner?) in the bathroom・Toilet and washroom are sharedHair dryers are only available in the shared washroom and bathroom.- Lay your own futonHowever,・The bathroom is a bath where you can see goldfish depending on the time. The rock bath will be replaced・Equipped with self-cooking tools such as refrigerator, microwave, gas stove, etc.・The hostess who welcomes you is very kind and polite.・The rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen of the inn are very clean and well-maintained.・If a meal is included, the in-room meal will include local products and wild vegetables that are eaten locally so that you can fully enjoy being here.・Since the mattress mat, futon, and sheets are assembled as a set, you can set the futon by simply unfolding it.・The bicycle parking lot is at the back of the inn, but it is wide and flat, so you can easily get in and out of the bike, and you can also enter the inn from the bicycle parking lot through the entrance at the back.・Location where morning market mothers have opened their shops in front of the inn.An inn where you can feel that you have come to Hijiori Onsen. That's what I thought, so I repeated it! Nowadays, even if the accommodation doesn't have amenities, I usually bring my own (especially women). In case of an emergency, you can borrow towels and yukata. (separate charge)It's cheap and you can enjoy the local area in the Hijiori Onsen town♪ Liquor stores and corner shops are right in front of you, so you can enjoy a drink after your bath ( ꈍᴗꈍ) I will stay here again if I stay next time, including the affordability of the price.

I stayed for 4 nights. Despite that, I only saw about 3 other guests. Everyone went home after one night. I remember going there in the middle of summer and it was very hot, so I thought I should go to Hijiori in the winter, but the person at the hotel told me that February is the slowest month of the year. )...I thought there was no one in the entire hot spring town. The meal is a one-soup, three-vegetable hot spring meal (almost no meat), reminiscent of old-fashioned country cooking, and although the menu is very gentle on the stomach and intestines, it naturally leaves young people feeling frustrated. If you don't have enough, you can buy it at the store outside. The hot springs are fed directly from the source, but it's hot so don't hesitate to add water.Recently, the public bath has become a "discount coupon for the hotel + 100 yen".This year, there was little snow and the temperature was high, so even though we stayed for 4 nights, we only had to refuel once (700 yen).If you stay multiple nights, they will bring you a snack for lunch (fried rice on the first day, Inari sushi on the second day, and the remaining day was Sunday so we went to eat ramen at Mochiya). It's actually 3 meals for around 6,000 yen! It's a waste to stay just one night, you should stay for several nights.

A few summers ago, I stayed for one night after descending from Mt. Gassan. It is said that the street is a corridor and the inn is a room, so it is a simple inn that gives you the feel of a hot springs inn.(The adjoining room has only one sliding door, so good manners are required.)The building itself is old and has a history, but it is well kept and clean. The food was not typical of a tourist hotel, but home-style and delicious, befitting a spa.(I was very grateful that they responded to my request after climbing back from the mountain.)I would like to visit there even in the snowy winter and just relax.

First visit for 2 nights and 3 days. The building itself is old, but it has a long history in Hijiori. This is "The Ryokan". The inside of the building is clean. The shared toilets also have heated toilet seats. Fully equipped with cooking utensils so you can stay overnight (self-catering).During my stay, I feel neglected in a good way. The breakfast and dinner meals are delicious despite being standard courses. During the winter, fan heaters are available for rent upon request (700 yen per refill). The goldfish bath is fun.I now understand the reason for the high ratings on J◯ran and other travel sites (the husband doesn't know, he doesn't have any interest in internet stuff). I'll be staying permanently.

It has been 35 years since I was born in Yamagata and moved to Tokyo. My parents no longer live there, but it is customary for me to head to Yamagata every year just before the first snow falls, and after visiting the graves, I spend a week here healing in the hot springs.I visited many hot springs all over Japan, but Nishimotoya was the place I ended up staying at.Both the wife and husband are kind people, although they don't interfere more than necessary. This is the best meal for me in my 50s.Soothe your tired body from daily work with hot water, enjoy a sip of local sake, and take time to reflect on yourself. At Hijiori Onsen, you can feel the good old Japanese spirit, something you would never experience in a lively hot spring town.I hope that the next generation will be a quiet hot spring town instead of a noisy hot spring town that has turned into a tourist destination like Gin〇 Onsen.
