When I was looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in Kaminoyama Onsen, I found this hotel and made a reservation. Both the exterior and interior were very clean. The parking lot was narrow in both directions, so I had to back up a little past the parking lot. Take a leisurely soak in the hot spring.

This is an annex that is connected to Stay Inn Hotel Zaimoku Sakaeya by a passageway. It had just been built and the hallway smelled like wood. There are three large public baths within the building. All have indoor and outdoor baths. The large public bath Tsuru no Yu was probably just built and was a beautiful large bath. Yoshinoyu is the only one with a sauna and a cold bath. If you stay for one night, you can enter all the public baths by changing gender. It costs about 4,000 yen using a coupon for a room without meals. It was great to stay in a single room and take a hot spring bath at this price.

This is a business hotel type hot spring inn that has been renovated from a long-established hot spring inn called Zaimoku Sakaeya (and has free-flowing hot springs), and has been built side by side with Stay Inn Zaimoku Sakaeya. The mismatch between the old but nice hot springs and mainly Western-style rooms is nice. The price is reasonable, and if you choose the 2-board plan, you can enjoy a luxurious sukiyaki dinner. For breakfast, miso soup and hot spring eggs are exquisite. I'm working hard in a run-down hot spring town.

The rooms are new and very clean, as they have just been renovated.A local company (lumber company?) probably bought the old hot spring inn that had gone out of business. The bath is old and run down. I wish I could renovate this too.

Definitely a lumber shop. This is the hotel. The quality of the hotels in front of Yamagata Station has deteriorated. The quality of the food here is also different from that of the rooms. It was an inn that made me want to come back again.

I stayed there by bike, and it seems like a lot of bikers use it. Hot spring inns are mainly used by families, but here you can also stay alone, the price is reasonable, and there are meal plans for breakfast and dinner, so I really liked it. It is recommended for bikers as you can park your car just like you would a car.

We stay in your old wing of the hotel, we are so disappointed at their old facilities, lack of heater in the bathroom, esp. when using toilet at nighttime, it’s esp freezing. Lack of choices of breakfast, lack of lift when carrying heavy luggage, hot water not up to temperature in the hot spring when bathing . Dim light in sleeping room, we are freezing when brushing teeth in the balcony. Overall it’s undesirable for visitors to stay in the old wing.
