This is a lodging inn that has been used for generations since around the 4th year of Genroku. The attentive landlady even took care of my wet jikatabi. thank you very much.

You can enjoy vegetarian cuisine at the lodge. It's a private room so you can relax. The location is perfect as it's right next to Hagurosan Zuishinmon!

It is said that there are no Shinto or Buddhist events such as morning services. They said it was a normal inn. Up to 3 people are allowed in the men's bath, and up to 2 people are allowed in the women's bath. The rooms seem to vary in size depending on the allocation, but they are completely Japanese-style rooms, equipped with air conditioning, TV, and Wi-Fi, so there is no inconvenience.

Great location as it is at the bottom of Mt Haguro. The rooms were traditional Japanese with futons (although they could be a bit thicker). We paid about 220AUD/person for 2nights and 2x dinner/breakfast (traditional temple food, vegetarian dishes only). The rooms have traditional Japanese Washi sliding doors which made it super bright at night since we were right next to the exit sign. Other than that, the owners were super friendly.

It's right next to the trailhead. After breakfast in the morning, you can go hiking! The meal was very delicious, especially the rice. My husband and I couldn't help but add some more and ate a larger portion than usual. The staff at the B&B were very kind, and there were 4 of us staying that night, all of whom were foreigners, ha! Very pleasant stay experience~

Stayed on a weekday in September 2022.It is located next to the Suishinmon Gate of Mt. Haguro, so it is ideal for worshiping. Before checking out, I climbed Mt. Haguro early in the morning and was able to see the sunrise.Parking available. It has a nice thatched roof, but it was under repair when I stayed there. The bath is a family bath, so if it's crowded, you'll probably have to wait in line. Baths are available until 9pm, and morning baths are not available. The building is clean and comfortable. The food is delicious vegetarian cuisine. Wild vegetables, fresh vegetables, sesame tofu, etc. are rich in flavor. The door to the room is a shoji sliding door, so I want to spend a quiet time.

Worth a visit, if only to be close to Haguro Mountain. We arrived early and could not get in until the specified 3.00 pm. A little basic, but very acceptable if you want something a bit more authentic. A few current renovations make it a bit rundown to look at, but hopefully that's temporary.
